Alien Infestation Facility

Codename A.I.F

A top down shooter
You have to get to the nuclear bomb before the time runs out. You have a R7 Unit to interact with the environment along the way. Keep your eyes open for secret Intel. You have 5 weapons and 2 proton grenades at your disposal. The weapons all have different effects on the environment. Good luck to you as there's many aliens on route Also theres some simple puzzles to solve to progress but your R7 Unit will show you some hints to help

The thermometer was a millimetre from overheating sadly, so some things I wanted to add weren't able to be added Having said that the level is huge and I'm proud to say I quit creating on LBP2 with a great level.
Its tough but lots of fun
If you play thanks and I hope you enjoy

Happy Gaming and take care

great level retro, my only complaint that actually hurts the overall experience is the turning of your avatar. My suggestion would be to allow the Right joystick instead of left to turn left etc etc. is to have it face the direction on you are pointing too with the right joystick. I found my self constantly battling against the controls more so then the monsters lol. overall 8.5/10 fix the right joystick and I could easily make it a 9.25/9.52013-11-06 00:02:00

The left moves you and the right turns you. Its how you said already. I wanted the player to turn because when the monsters are on you they slow your turning down. Sorry you don't like the controls but It makes the level more challenging. Thanks for playing If you played a few times you would understand and see what I mean. There's sections in the level when you need to walk one way and shoot the other and the controls work fine. I have 6 year old tester that can get to the final boss so he got to grips with it and worked out the puzzles. Thanks for playing and Take care .

Wow, this game is fantastic. I played it several times last night.... I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm gonna keep trying!

At the very beginning of my first play, I was a bit irritated by the controls. But, it really didn't take too much time to get used to, and after a bit it felt pretty natural.

One thing I have to give you special kudos for - FANTASTIC job on giving the player some real feedback when they hit things. Fighting the enemies has a satisfying feel to it. Also, the engineering is spot-on. You force the player into areas where they MUST fight, and can't really just sit back and shoot.

My only complaints are...... when you die, I kind of wish there was a quick death animation.... or scene.... or something. I had no idea what happened. I'm playing, and suddenly I'm looking at the "replay, continue" screen. Even if it was just popping up a skull on the screen. It just felt a bit anti-climactic for death, especially considering the production value on the rest of the game.

Also, a way to skip the introduction would be great. I loved the introduction, but once I die I want go get back in there.

But, of course, the idea is NOT to die, so not a huge deal. This is by far the most involving top-down shooter I've played in LBP2. I've played some great ones, but this one really got my heart pounding.

In the Q this must go and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I just hope I'm able to at least survive the intro cut scene. 2013-11-07 15:22:00

I thank you for playing my level your very kind indeed. The controls are set out this way because when the aliens are on you they slow your ability to turn. The level originally had a automatic punch when the aliens were near but sadly this had to be removed as the player animations and movement became to glitchy and laggy. The thermometer is a millimetre from overheating and again for this reason I had to lose the death sequence as I wanted to keep the end movie and the ranking system. I had to leave out so many bits I had made but believe me if you finish the level you will see I crammed so much into this level. I added 100 extra health as no one was able to finish the level except for me so energy wise the level shouldn't be so hard but remember the bombs ticking. If the thermometer was just a bit bigger I could have added the bits in that sadly I had to leave out. If you do finish the level you will see its had a lot of time and effort put into it and the aliens have loads of logic built in depending on how you play or what weapons you use. The final alien is worth seeing and I quit creating on LBP2 knowing I made one of the best levels of its type that sadly not many will play. Take care you lovely people I wish you well. Oh and you shouldn't really give a level a score when you havent finished the level and seen it al the way to the end, no offence. If you managed to complete the level then yes fair enough but not seeing it all and finishing isn't fair to give my creation a score. Again no offence and thanks for trying my level

Thank-you a tiny bit of recognition is a lovely thing Not many creators can understand how difficult a level like this is to make. You made my day thank you 2013-11-08 11:03:00

I wish I had the skills to play a level like this :/
but after the last up-date , I could at least beat the first boss, lol
The controls do need some time to get used to, but like Ccubbage said, after a while you get used to it.

and rating a level you only played once, and didn't finish.............
especially 1 like this, that takes a few tries....

i didn't came to far, but it looks quite spectacular

Have a nice day

After a month away from switching my play station on I returned to change the controls on this level, lol. I thought long and hard about it but switched to the joystick rotator. Now the game is easier though because the aliens don't slow you down as much when they are on you. Flip side though people will like the level better now.
