By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes…well, the latest Episode of the Spotlight is here at any rate This fortnight’s Episode is suitably packed with chills, thrills and midnight revelries. The nights are drawing in now, so light the fire, grab a cocoa and get playing some of these awesome levels.

Sadly, there is no Karting Spotlight and we can’t even blame the squirrels this time. It’s simply that no levels were posted in the Karting Showcase in the past 2 weeks.

Without further ado on with the Spotlight!

http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/8e262a824c988d48321ec73a8aec092febd3addf.png"Midnight Calling"KomodoBrothersA platformer that focuses on cardboard tube gameplay. Enjoy the dark, surreal forest scenery and the sweet sweet sounds by @nk827. This level was named after one of my favorite songs "Midnight Calling" by Swing Republic.
Midnight Calling is one of those levels that you play slow at first because you just want to soak everything in. The music collaborates nicely with the lighting and materials to produce this picturesque land of wonder that is rich in atmosphere. It's actually kind of tranquil...till you jump on some spikes! Visuals aside, this level is fun to play. Running, jumping, bounding, grabbing, grappling, and yes, even impaling. I, too many times to admit to, was impaled by spikes along my route to the finish..but still had a great time throughout. You will too. Hit it up.When my stuffing filled sack chum goes in a toilet paper roll he expects to come out the other end with all his stitching still in the correct place, not here, here even the usually safe tubes are packed full of stuffing shredding spikes, so beware. This level has what I dub the P.H.A.T factor: Platforming, Hazards, Atmosphere, and Tunes. On a side note, I have rarely seen these types of trees outside of a solid colorful Pop Art-ish level and didn't think I ever would, but Komodo, has indeed squeezed this into a well done blending of 2 genres. This was a work of beauty that was tranquil while offering a delightful stroll thru a forest that literally feels much shorter then it actually is, cause it flows impeccably well. Komodo you've just created a level that I like very much! It's so atmospheric with the lush forest and a great soundtrack! Awesome gameplay with some fun bounce elements. I really like the way you separate foreground and background. I felt comfortable while playing, I was enjoying all the way through. The background was really cool, the way you used the fog to enhance the feeling of depth was very nice executed. I liked the way of making hazards within the cardboard tube, instead of standard fire pits. The gameplay was fun and inspiring. Very nice job

http://ie.lbp.me/img/bl/6ee32aa08843facee221975f759dc4514561aaf5.pngI Love My Pumpkinshookie_monster[1-4 player friendly/Very Difficult] You are so proud of your home grown pumpkin! Is it grand enough to win first prize at the Autumn Festival? Only one way to find out! Carry your pumpkin all the way through this Halloween inspired level and make it to the Autumn Festival with it in one piece. Do not drop your pumpkin or let it hit anything or else...SPLAT GAME OVER. Bonus points available in multiplayer. Race mode is optional.
Oooh this level is awesome! Based on the same concept as "My Companion Bomb" Shookie delivered a great halloween themed level. Filled with pumpkins, hay stacks, and other orange stuff. That being said, I can easily say that this level is NOT easy! While playing this level, I spammed the replay button about 16 times. I was very close to a rage-quit. My heart rate was about 167/107 when I finally finished it. But it was worth it! What are you waiting for? Go play it!Halloween time brings LittleBigPlanet a chock full of spooky-filled and treat-filed levels for us sacks to enjoy. A great game-play styled challenge gets brought back from ye' old days of LittleBigPlanet 2's Factory of Tomorrow and has gotten a massive Halloween makeover with pumpkins, skulls, hay and so much more. I played this level at least 7 times for far and the objective of getting your pumpkin to the end without it touching the obstacles never gets old and even gets very addicting. The high scores gives you replay ability and so does the option of doing a race, which is what I recommend you select in order to get a massive score in the end. The design is great and there is a big change you might have the urge to play this over and over again.I loathe Halloween. Well that's a fine way to start a review Bio! Wait, just hear me out. I do despise the holiday and to be quite honest, I don't look forward to the bombardment of Halloween levels that occur this time of year, but, I do love a great platformer. I'll see the levels and go "great, here we go again" and play the levels because it's my addiction, but once inside, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I'll shout things like, "Oh cool, look at that ghost!" and "Neat way to use the pumpkin!" or some similar phrase. Wow, I haven't even talked about this level yet. I better get to the point. Shookie, you've done again man. The level is awesome, addicting and just plain fun. This is what, the third iteration of this style? I don't think I can tire of it. You keep coming up with these creative ways to carry an object through a level, and I love it. Now, the level did scare me, not in a traditional Halloween sense, but it had my heart beating and palms sweaty, fearing that I was going to hit my great gourd on a wall or misstep somewhere and doom myself. Awesome work. Guys, play the level.I’m going to keep this short (well, short for me, anyway ); not because I don’t love the level, I do, but because these guys have already said everything I want to - and a lot more eloquently too! I couldn’t let things pass without adding a word or two, though. This is my favourite of this series. I think it’s partly the added playfulness of the Halloween setting with the additional scares and distractions and lovely mellow lighting. It’s also the addition of the multiplayer element too. It’s a lot of fun playing this with others…though perhaps not the best way to get a high score, lol! My platforming is nothing like accurate enough to do well at this, but there’s something so compelling about it. You just keep wanting to have one more go, convinced that surely, surely next time you’ll do better! This is a great concept and this Halloween version just made it even cooler.

http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/ce1104ac2fd6cbbb6ffc7c53969bfebc001b3caa.pngOver the Clouds!Five-Ate-Five[Welcome to huge floating city on sky! Have fun while race and exploring wacky flying wonder! Don't fall of or you will end up with broken arms and legs! Please prefer 1 player only, Music by Lovely person İdgowans! Now Prize-o-Meter has fixed, Challenge to earn all prizes (13,000 is the best)!
There is something about these themed cities that just hit the sweet spot in what I look for in the level. It always wants me to go to Paris and make out with my true love (at the moment that would have to be myself since I'm single) on the top of the Eiffel tower during the nightlife time. I think the colorful lighting is the key that gets me to go wow and adventurous or maybe its the city design with different buildings and signs and a touch of urban landscape. This city isn't just a plain urban landscape, it is a city floating in the sky with tons of fun and great music. I challenge you to take on the Prize-o-Meter jam packed with a lot of prizes up for grabs and even take on a race throughout the level to aim for a high score. Oh man! Such a fun level! Everything just comes together into one big jar of awesomesauce! The music made me feel like I was in paris in the 50's. The level design was designed with caution. Each time I play one of Five levels I always think of the quote: "Only the sky is the limit". Five created something above the sky! Nice simple gameplay, fun sequences and great visuals = Spotlight! When I first played this, it kind of caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting anything like that. I just had to play it again, and I did. The overall tone of this level reminds me, for some insane reason, of the '50s era Beatniks. So I will use "beatnik" terms to describe this level. Man daddio, this romp was jazztastic! This level was a shape in a drape and everything plus. I wanted to be jungled up in this city, it looked so cool. The way those buildings clanged off one another, you really had to know your groceries but if you just noodle it out, you'll be ok cat, you digg? Man, Five-ate-five threw the babies out of the balcony with this one so no need to interview your brains man, don't be a square, just play it.

http://i4.lbp.me/img/bl/2e4b8900f99b1b45deb4f45fb412b2a93ba4ccab.pngThe Desert's Refinerybat-19Welcome to The Desert's Refinery ! [1 or 2 players] This level is a difficult platformer and you will have to think many times to find solutions of some puzzles. don't leave the level if you are stoped in your progression, try to result the problem by your own ways. Thanks to D_Olive for his help in the beginning of the creation of this level Hope you enjoy
This level hurt my head. Bang, there I go again, starting out in a negative light. It's not what it sounds like though, I promise. The level made me think too hard and.. well, that don't sound much better. How about this. I was hanging a picture above the toilet and...no, that's how Doc Brown invented the Flux Capacitor. What the heck am I even talking about? Desert's Refinery! Ok, um, the level is brilliant. You do have to do quite a bit of thinking, and that's what I enjoy about it. It's not just a mindless platformer full of contraptions that convey you across the level. Not that there's anything wrong with that as I happen to love those toos...that's a typo but I'm leaving it in because it makes me laugh, "toos" LOL. Anyway, this level is full of creative and fun gameplay and not to mention, some really cool effects. Like the air gun that blows sand away! The sand actually flies away not as in blows up or the whole block of sand...GAH! I can't explain it, just play it, you'll dig it.Oh wow, good thing this level doesn’t have one of those thinga-ma-bobs that traces your path with a line because mine would look like a bowl of spaghetti that’s been practising yoga! I did a whole lot of to-ing and fro-ing and backtracking...and double-backtracking! I got there in the end, though, and had a lot of fun on the way. As bio says, it is refreshing to find a level that requires you use your brain quite as much as this and holds your hand quite as little. Your task is to make your way to the heart of the refinery (or is it a temple? Temple-like refinery?) and solve the puzzle there. Your path lies through some curious machinery and eerily deserted chambers piled with drifts of sand. Using your cool wind machine and native wit you can work out a route and pick up some of the secrets as you go. Bat-19 has created a wonderful level full of atmosphere, mystery and lovely detailed scenery. The gameplay is a great combination of platforming and puzzles and makes for a totally absorbing experience; and one that will leave you with a real sense of satisfaction when you make it to the scoreboard.

http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/161c4235681e787886dba50285052b40524509c4.pngLBP Halloween Magic - Witch & Vampire -yu-kamoneHappy Halloween! Welcome to the Halloween Magic Castle! I give you one capability tonight. A witch's power. Please choose the power of the favorite one and enjoy this castle! (1~4player) ようこそHalloween Magic Castleへ!私はあなたに一つだけ能力を与えます。”ウィッチパワー” もしくは ”ヴァンパイアパワー” 好きな方の力を選び、この城を抜け出してみましょう! Special thanks @pino-cchio Sticker art @ajisagi Music @Taxok20 Thank you my friends
We need the sackie awards this year!! Yu-kamone deserves the creator of the year sackie no doubt about it and he once again created such an amazing masterpiece! He never ceases to impress me and he always has so much content and new ideas packed within every level he ever shared with us sack folks from any LittleBigPlanet game. Last year he delivered us an outstanding Halloween level which was a success and a lot of players loved. This year he is back with another Halloween level and he successfully topped the one he made last year (I didn't even know that was possible)! In the beginning you can choose whether to be a witch or a vampire, each giving you a specific set of abilities to approach this amazing platformer. Each time you play through this level it will be different because the game play sections depend on what character you pick and it is a concept that has been successfully implemented. This is a level that is worth getting me off of GTAV and it promisingly deliverers.I don't usually partake in the "dark arts" but when given the option to be a Vampire or a Witch in this level, I chose the latter because, well, because when you say vampire, all I can think of is that stupid movie Twilight! Geez, if that movie is played one more time in my house my eyeballs are going to melt right out of their sockets! So yes, I chose to be a witch, which turned out pretty well actually. I liked my new found powers to control certain objects and platforms. Quite interesting indeed. There's nothing I can really say that you guys don't already know. I mean, you know it's a Yu-Kamone level so it's going to be designed quite awesomely. The gameplay is going to be fun and inventive and you'll be smiling the whole time. I might go replay it myself as I really want to know how the Vampire play is, but I swear, the vampire better not look like Edward!@bio – lol! Well I chose the vampire myself and I can’t say I spotted any resemblance to Robert Pattinson in my sackgirl 0_o! I had a lot of fun sailing around with my vampire double jump and glide powers, nabbing secrets and crashing through walls where necessary. The final flying ascent of the tower was a blast and I loved the animation of the vampire wings. It must have taken a lot of work to create a level that was playable in 2 entirely different ways and not end up with a mess! Yu-kamone pulls it off as immaculately as ever. The gameplay is beautifully designed, has great replay value and the awesome skeleton from his previous Halloween level makes a welcome reappearance. At the end of the day, though, this level is just a whole lot of fun to play and that, and being multi-player friendly too, makes it an insta-queue for Halloween.

http://ie.lbp.me/img/bl/89eba24d20133eadbd5204ae8f4971ba3eb1fa1b.pngSHADOW S OF SALEM Part.2 : "The Cauldron" (Single player)PirmautSalem city 1692 A.C. The Story of the witches Continues. From my "Shadow of Salem" Serie Story.Halloween2013 Special Release. Musics in order : by @Pirmaut‚@Juhani100,@Weirdybeardy and @Pirmaut feat. Weirdybeardy Rmx.Special thanks to @Boia. (For best gameplay experience One player Required)
As another Halloween approaches us, the webs have been removed for the year long closed gates and the moon sheds upon pirmaut's earth revealing the next chapter of this amazing series. Part one left us in a deep and dark scene packed with mini games in the old days where witches lurk around and the innocent must be crucified throughout the environments of Salem. In part two, the story continues with another great round of game play and will definitely get you even more pumped for Halloween Day. Overall, with no spoilers, it is a great story being told with fantastic music to deepen the spooky experience. Part 3 must continue the tradition and I hope we will get to see what is happening next during next year's spooky event. It’s not easy to produce a Halloween level that stands out from all the rest but once again Pirmaut has pulled off that feat. We’re back with the witches of Salem in a sinister silhouette world. Even though the tone is not as dark as that of Part 1, this is still far from the usual jolly Halloween romp. The clock tower section at the beginning has awesome special effects and great music. Such a cool intro to the level. You then have a “transforming” encounter with one of the witches *itches to say what happens but resists*. It’s impossible to do justice to the level without too many spoilers so all I can say is: it’s awesome - full of imaginative and creative gameplay and scenery. An electrifying mix of platforming, puzzles and challenges of all kinds. The perfect Halloween experience – chilling and fun all at once! With installments of 4 and 5, Pirmaut as really stirred the cauldron with this new installment of the Salem level series. Ch 4 is a race up, down, and below the clock tower that is rivaled with platforming and a head scratching puzzle. This was a magnificent looking level, from the awesome background to adding in a very tastefully done foreground. The little things really left me in awe, from the little lightning bolts from the clouds, the glowing change of the eyes, and making the heads and arms and such on the sprites bob. Now onto CH 5, wow did things go amphibian, I will leave it there, on that line, hate to spoil too much of this spooky treat that Pirmaut has made for us. Did I mention the music is AWESOME!!

http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/d2b4bac5d6e111b0733fdc1dc9f97ed3d3c6f340.pngLost Ruins of KalahrZ1091990:[1-2 P L A Y E R ]1 player recommended for the best experience) far from any civilization deep in the heart of the jungle is an long forgotten realm.... The mighty Ruins of Kalahr.... explore the gorgeous Ruins and solve her tricky constructions.... [ I F F I C U L T : M E D I U M - H A R D:] N O T E: you can collect some Opals (7) for a higher score......
Here is me playing this level. "Oh wow. He said it was a remake but daaaang, it's like a completely new level. Oooh, check out that cool contraption there. This should be simple enou.....Dang it! Are you kidding me!? That is not fair! The stupid little thing...oh, well, it comes back. Cool. Ohh, now that is completely cool! I've never seen the likes of that before. BULLPOOP!!! Why did I die right there!? There is no freaking way that you can make that leap. Just one more try and then I'm getting out of this level! Oh, well that was easy. This level rocks!" Yeah, in my defense, I was under some medication at the time. This is a terrifically brilliant level that you, trust me, will have a blast in.The Ruins of Kalahr are very beautiful but treacherous too. Any Sack daring to enter will be met by a series of ingenious contraptions and it will take skill and a cool head to pass them all…as well as a lot of counting under your breath to get the timing right, if you’re anything like me! In fact you’ll be so busy trying to avoid dying that you’ll hardly have any time to admire the beauty of the background with its lush foliage and crumbling relics. No, because, ruins or not, the mechanisms in this place are both fiendish and fully functioning! Z1091990 proves once again that he is a past master at creating new gameplay. There are so many fresh obstacles and all of them cleverly inventive. Seriously, you have to see these awesome contraptions. For me the spinning roller-y circles that chase you around and shove you unceremoniously out of them were outstanding…for more than one reason, lol. It looks great and plays superbly – what more could you want. (Disclaimer – 80% re-make of my review of the original Ruins level )The colors Contraptions man the colors Contraptions are beautiful man. These are wow factor contraptions right here for sure. Entirely timed to the "T". Must pause from typing for a second to pick my jaw up off the floor just thinking how well Z1091990 did in this level. Definitely a must play level for those looking to score some wonderful platforming while being bombarded with genius. From start to finish this level never stopped amazing me. One thing that really stood out the most to me was Z did really really REALLY great job of difficulty progression as well as taking a contraption and reusing it in ways that were different that the previous while holding true to difficulty progression and flow. Well done Z!!!

A pinball table on a portable device is a really fun experience since you can take it anywhere you go, and on recent devices have touch features to make it even more enjoyable. Thankfully-as the description states-no animals were harmed expect for a few sackbots, which in this case it happens for almost every level containing sackbots. A really well crafted and enjoyable pinball level brings its way on LittleBigPlanet Vita and this is something I would download directly to my Vita to play it anywhere I go. I'm not usually a big fan of pinball levels, but oh boy, did this level convert me! It is wonderfully decorated with flashing lights galore as you would expect from all great pinball games. This level is ideal to go straight into your downloads, amongst his other pinball level. As they are so great to play in short bursts whenever you have the a spare few minutes. I'm sure this level will be team picked in no time so go and be indie and play it before it's mainstream!

Become a squid boy and swim through a enchanting sea full of hidden a beauty and also the odd sea monster.
We had the honor to play a wonderfully crafted level, indigo where the atmosphere was pretty much, well, indigo. Now, feast your eyes on a stunning atmosphere in the color of magenta! Wait, here is the best part, you are a squid! Yep, a squid named squid boy in a magenta colored sea where you travel to find a big secret. On your adventure, you fight creatures such as jellyfish using an acquired weapon you collect and you avoid obstacles while looking at another silhouette-fested world. ABYSS is an absolutely stunning level filled with wonderful lighting and visual effects creating a magnificent atmosphere that reminded me of the standard of stuff that you would find in levels by ZedCOcoZza and TheNotorious-187. As well as the visuals, the gameplay was very unique Scarybiscuit manage to create their own swimming mechanic, which felt much better than the default allowing far more control over movement so you could easily slash the oncoming jellyfish with your almighty sword and feel like an almighty god in the process!
