"State of Mind" is a Race through stargates with the objective being to reach the Finish Line before your friends and the timer runs out. This level features stargates that are actually bi-directional, not the typical single direction worm holes you are used to seeing. These stargates work off a color coded logic system, and are only On for a set period of time. Multiplayers will enjoy taking different paths, if they wish, on their journey to the Finish Line. Music by RickRock_777. ENJOY!

This level is LOGIC INTENSIVE, and introduces a unique and novel spin on the standard LBP2 worm hole. I had to keep the transport possibilities to a minimum, otherwise no one would make it to the Scoreboard...not even me.

Here are some "talented and brilliant" LBPC member, and a couple of LBP players, comments from the level.

CuriousSack: Hi Rick, this has been really an unique experience, great idea, wonderful music, i didn't reach the end in time, so once again!^^ Thanks and many greetings, Jürgen^^

TheNotorious-187: Two RickRock levels in quick succession, that's more like it! . I won't lie, this one was tricky. it took me a while to figure out what i had to do, but, this only made beating it even more satisfying.

AVundCV: Hey Rick, great idea and excellent music

crysis2-boy: Great Scott!

KingWindsor1: Nice jazzy tunes dude.

I was feeling a little better today so I said to myself, "self, let's try that level again." Self said, "no, it hurts my head too bad!" I told myself "man up self, you can do this!" After an intense argument with myself and some weird stares from my family, I loaded into the level.
Design wise, it looks fantastic. I love the control panels at the base of the portals. There were a few times where I grabbed the CP and while waiting for the wheel to rotate, the camera zoomed in on me instead of the wheel and I missed my stop. No biggie, just grabbed the CP again and camera went back out.
I like the premise of this puzzler but didn't care for sticker keys. It's probably just me, but I find it cumbersome to go back into my settings, set my profile to "collect community objects/prizes" and then once I acquired a sticker, to pull it out and sticker in the appropriate location. Myself, I would have preferred to instead of collecting a sticker, to flip a switch or something that caused that particular panel to light up. Again, probably just me. I'm quite the odd one. If it's a matter of, "Well Mr. Smarty Marty, I want to give away these awesome stickers to people." Couldn't they be community prizes at or near the scoreboard?
Anyway, the scoreboard eluded me this time. I was only able to acquire two sticker keys. Maybe it was all the snot still floating around in my skull, but I just couldn't get out of it. I kept going around in circles with no end in sight.
It is quite excellent though. I really dig it. Well done.

Thanks for the review, Bio. I know what you mean about sticker switches, but I fell in love with these playing the Story Mode levels. It gave me such a feeling of accomplishment. And shame, shame, shame on you for turning Community Prizes off in your settings. You know I "always" give something back to the Community when they play my levels. In this one, I give away the PlayStation fonts I so meticulously made...I have not seen them made or given away yet. I spent more time on the fonts than most spend on a level. 2013-10-21 13:47:00

Yay! Great level!
I love the design and the mechanics of the star gates. This is an excellent idea. They look fantastic!
And the music! As always a blessing for my ears.

Excellent level!

Thanks for the queues, everyone.

@ AV...I'm glad you enjoyed the level and the concept. And that is a "HUGE" compliment for my music. The song style is unique, as well. It's a Jazz/Rock/Electronica fusion. I have been working with this style for a few weeks, and will probably do a gallery in this style at some point in the future.

Cool idea with the wheels, but it took me awhile to understand exactly what I was supposed to do and by the time I figured it out, I had run out of time. If you could get the wheels to move both ways then I think that would help the flow tremendously. As always, the music was top notch and I love hunting for the hidden stuff in your levels.2013-10-24 15:39:00

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, PS. Rather than make the gate turn in both directions, I believe I will add 1 more of each color, as you had suggested in your PM. In the meantime, I recommend replaying this level, in order to achieve the best score...it gets easier each time through. 2013-10-27 05:10:00
