In/Out Gaps

Archive: 4 posts

So... here's the problem: Most of the materials out there have their edges cut a little. If I use the material then, hovever, to move out and back in from another block of material, then it shows a little gap in the thin layer between them, just inbetween the edges
I've tried to fill out the space with black sticker panel. It worked, but in a quite ugly way. Do you have your tricks to get rid of this?

if i am reading this correctly, here is your scenario: fron layer u have a square (A), and within this square u have another square (B) that moves in and out from the middle layer to the front layer and then back to the middle layer etc. both square a and b take up 1 layer. and while square A stays static square b is dynamic. so when square b is in the front layer u can see some background in the edges. to fix this make square B 2 layers thick. so while its pushed out into the front layer, the middle layer will still be occupied and then no gaps will shine thru.2013-10-17 14:56:00

Why, yes. But what if I was low on space? I'm not, but anyways...2013-10-17 15:11:00

low on space? you mean the back layer is occupied? If so just use a thin layer between the middle and back layer that is behind the object that moves in/out and is larger then the hole and the same material as the outside material (the static material) and have the object that moves in/out be only 1 layer that occupies (front out) and (middle while in).2013-10-18 02:40:00
