Electricity, Plasma, and Fire Are All Just Paint Balls

Archive: 3 posts

Seriously, all of them(As in, Electricity, Plasma, Fire), and I can prove it.
First, get out either Electricity, Plasma, or Fire, it doesn't matter which, although it's slightly easier with Plasma.
Then, place a Lethaliser tweaker onto it, and -- assuming it isn't Fire you selected -- it will change to fire.
And finally, cycle through them until you reach nothing, and you will have a Paint Ball. Remove the tweaker, and it will still be a Paint Ball. I haven't tested this with Fire yet, but with Electricity at least, you have to unpause the physics(If they aren't already), then pause, unpause, and rewind, otherwise it's an invisible Paint Ball.
So, there, Paint Balls for all. Although, this has a major advantage over regular Paint Balls -- do this with a Plasma Ball, and you can choose which colour it is by tweaking the Plasma Ball before changing its Lethalisation. However, no matter what colour you choose, it will always leave white paint splatters when colliding with objects. Not sure why.
How I discovered this, you may ask? Well, I was messing around in Create Mode, trying to make a Laser that could bounce off of a Light Sabre(I'm making a Survival Challenge), and I accidentally put a Lethalisation Tweaker on the chip for the Laser, and it immediately went on fire. I then started messing with the settings, and discovered this glitch. Naturally, I tried it with Electricity, and discovered the weird invisible Paint thing. But, I didn't realise they were Paint Balls until deleting them -- they made the Paint Ball splat sound when deleted. So, I rewound, stood under one, and got splatted with white paint.
And yes, I know this doesn't seem particularly useful, but it means that you don't have to have Paint Balls taking up space in your community objects(Although, you can't change the brightness of the Paint Balls to my knowledge, although, I have a theory for further testing, so until then, you may want to keep any Black Paint Balls you have lying around)!
Not only that, but Electricity makes invisible Paint Balls, which could be an interesting twist.
Oh, and, one last thing, since you can change the lethalisation of these projectiles, it could make for some interesting Psychic Powers? Or technology? Or whatever other name for it you can think of.
Enjoy, and I do encourage feedback, even if it's something fairly small.
Oh, and I almost forgot, if someone has already discovered this, I'd like to know, since I don't like credit being wrongly given, although I did search the Forums, and I found nothing like this.

I don't know when or where or how it was discovered but I'm pretty sure this has been known since the beta days. It is interesting that they used paint balls for the projectiles, but like you said, probably not that useful to us Can you use the paintinator in LBP2 without having the MGS pack? If not it would be useful for the people who don't have it.

I guess they just used paint balls because they already had projectiles that disappeared when they hit something so they didn't need to create new objects for the fire, plasma and electric balls.

I Knew that plasma, electric and fire were the same object but hey it's good to learn some mindless trivia about a game.2013-10-13 19:08:00
