Waving my hand! :)

I started playing LBP since 2009, when the first PS3 version is released. At that time, I just play the story levels and amazed by the online community. I had never think of creating my own level until recently I bought LBP vita.

lBP community is always supportive and full of creavity. I am encouraged by a few levels which named after big title as Mario, sonic etc, it is not because these levels are great, I feel that they can done better, hence This is how I wanted to create my own level. Not naming my level after big title, I tweaked my title a bit, and named it Super Monster Land. (Super Mario Land)

I spend from 5 to 20 hours, learning the tutorial while making this game. At first There is no concept in mind, I just wanted to do a simple platforming game. Through exploration of tools and sensor, I decide to include enemies like typical Mario & sonic games. Slowly these enemies are created and I want it to look like the dragon quest monsters. Shape, colour and facial design are the criteria of monster making. After a few monsters are created, i decide to give it a try so I published this game.

During Monster creation, Behavior of monsters are the big thing. The brain sensor is my main tool to make creatures move, follow and jump. Due to the limitation of brain sensor, which allows one hit to kill, I decided to wrap the brain with soft, destructible materials so as the monster can withstand more hits. Explosives are used as weapon to hit the protective layer of materials. I also want the terrain to change from earlier level, so water is added into this new monster level. First few monsters are small, hence I make my new monster bigger.

Just recently, I had added another monster. I spent 2 weeks, 2-3hours daily, exploring new vehicle that can play with my next monster. This monster concept is taken from Sonic boss, Dr Egg, a monster on the machine. Yeah, it will be a machine against machine war. New idea is also introduced into this level too. (Surprised attack @ last monster level)

We have an optional F4F (feedback for feedback) system where you tell others to check out your level, come back and give feedback/suggestions and you'll do the same for them. It's a valuable system that is underused here. Hi greyfox,

I'm fascinated of your description of how you've created your level!^^ And even though I will get my vita not before Chrismas I couldn't help queuing it! So "Super Monster Land" will be my very first vita level in the queue!^^ Welcome here in our fantastic lbpc the "Super friendly Creatures Land" Have endless fun and get a lot of inspiration in our creative community!^^
