Well, I'm not too sure if it would count, but my second cousin (My dad's mom's sister's son) is Jaime Moyer, a pticher for the Philadelphia Phillies or something :/.

Only met him once, and I'm not too sure if I actually met him, I just remember going to eat with my cousin who was a baseball pitcher in a fancy section of a resturant. :/

Nearest I have is my dad's cousin, who is a speedway rider for sheffield. He's on Sky Sports quite a bit but I wouldn't say he's "famous".2009-01-30 08:10:00

One of my relatives, like my great great grandfather or something like that, was a surveyor in Queensland. He designed the layout for the town of Toowoomba, which is the second largest inland city in Australia. (It's only like 10,000 people, most Australians live on the coast).

Anyway, he named the main street after himself, that being Ruthven Street.

It's my father's surname, though I use my mothers now. I went to Toowoomba a few years back, and was surprised to find this street with my name....

The only thing is, the locals don't say it right. My surname is pronounced "Ruth-ven", they pronouce the street "Rough-ven".

It's my surname. I know how to say the name. Just try and convince an entire town that their main street is said wrong... man, they give you some funny looks. Gah!

Well, my grandmother always claimed that we were related to Frank and Jesse James, and she had a very old original photo of them as proof (I own it now). I'm not sure if it's true or not though, because she took 4 valium a day for over 20 years straight and sometimes acted a little ... odd, lol. Someday I may research the photo and see if it's really them.2009-01-31 10:52:00
