Hey, I just finished the first chapter of my new level "Susan and Bird" where you play the character of Susan, a little girl who loses her mum during an air raid on the german town of Dresden during the second world war. After she survives the raid hidden in the basement of her house she is a changed person. She is brave enough to go out there and look for her mum. What's so special about this artistic black and white level? In order to progress through the destroyed town you need to switch over and control Susans bird (who is conveniently named Bird). There is some platforming but the main focus lies on puzzles, mostly triggers and keys. I would be happy if you give it a try and let me know what you think. I love levels with good stories so I will surely play this. Also, you might want to remove some of your screenshots because I feel like I saw the whole level now. There's just too many spoilers.

I was in the middle of the level, the checkpoint was on the top floor in the building, shortly after it says that she was hooping for her mom to be all right and wants to look for her etc. . . . After you go outside and walk across the falling roof platform. -hyper

uuh, that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. but seriously, comments like that give me the strength to go on. to let you know what i have planned for the next chapter: the famous women's church of dresden, a slaughter house and a ship... stay tuned....

This is a very good level. With a touching story, atmosphere and interesting gameplay mechanics. I look forward to the continuation! In the beginning, when the bird need to bring key, I accidentally dropped the key on the street in front of the door and no longer able to pick it up. I had to start level again At some point, when I died, the bird got stuck (don't remember where). It seems to me that the easiest way to fix it - when you die bird must be "destroyed" and after ressurect with you

i will try to fix the problem with the key. did the bird not respawn at all? because it should after some seconds far from your character. i dont want to encumber the levels with even more logic but i will look into that problem as well. thank you!

ok, i fixed the problem with the key dropping off-screen but i couldn't figure out anything for the bird respawning yet. still working on it.

Sorry to renew such an old thread, but I just played this level after it got lost in my loooong queue, and I really thought it was great. The story, the visuals, the gameplay. It was both fun and touching, and I think you pulled it off really nicely. Cant wait for the next chapters to come out.
