So, back at the PS4 reveal, Media Molecule showed off a tech demo for their next game, which basically seems to be a 3D game creating tool based off sculpting. So, I am interested in hearing what you guys are more excited for: a hypothetical LBP3 for the PS4 (which, for the purposes of this thought experiment, is still a plane based 2D game running more or less like the old games with upgrades) or MM's new game (which, again, is more 3D based. So, basically: are you more excited for a completely new PCS game, or more interested in upgrades to the tried and true model?

I guess at the moment I'm leaning towards MM's new game little more because I like the idea of be able to make and animate our own characters instead of just dressing up sackfolk. But both sound interesting to me, So I hope for both to happen. *mew

Well, I want both to happen too. But this is more just so I can see what people are more excited for, not insinuating people only want one. Just thought its be an interesting topic

Don't get me wrong... I think Mm's new idea will be good, but we simply don't know enough about it gameplay wise for me to choose it over LBP. LBP on the other hand is a classic, and it is one of these games that can seem brand new with continued support - e.g. water kit

but we simply don't know enough about it gameplay wise I kinda feel the same. I have a bit of a hard time feeling excited over it when we know nearly nothing about it yet. There's always a chance it'll be nothing like we expect. *mew

I think it would have to depend on which has a larger community to draw inspiration from and delve into to determine which would monopolize my time. That said, I see myself ultimately picking up both.

Hears why I am not excited for LBP3; its not announced. MM's new games also does what LBP does, but better. You are not limited to just Sackbots either, so more creative and unique imagery and gameplay is possible. We may not have a lot of information, but if anything, the fact that we do like Littlebigplanet should be the main reason you would be excited for this as well. MM with next gen tools=the next big thing. And its really that simple.

To be honest and as much of an LBP fanboy that I am I'm more excited for the new 3D game. It's something different and who knows might even be better than what LBP is. It's better to at least try new things rather than just stay playing the same series that will inevitably become stale and repetitive.
