Roast of Bob Saget

Archive: 13 posts

I watched it and I thought that Cloris Leachman was the best with Norm Macdonald in second. I always hated Full House and apparently they all do too
Anyone else watch it? Favorite Set?

In a roast you make fun of EVERYONE there. I thought it was great. But your opinion is yours and no one can tell you different. You have a right to say and think whatever you want. I remember this one time when I was trying to tell a hotel worker that I didn't like the room and I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later! Looked at my kingdom I was finally there to settle my throne as the prince of bel-air.

His humor is aquired sometimes. He wasn't trying to be the NormAL roaster. It's hard to explain what he did. Some people got it and some didn't. Now your just making up stuff about them replaying laughs. If you didn't like him thats fine but don't lie.

Read the commments here. I don't think you get it.
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
What was weird was that my comcast thing said it was an hour but it was actually an hour and a half.

I watched it again and I think i can explain it better. He was using old jokes from the 60's and 70's roasts that were terrible and clean. He also might have been doing a play on on Dave Coulier (however you spell it) because he is such a clean comic. You can read some of the exact jokes Norm did in this link...

I've never found roasts to be that funny. Most of the time, they barely make fun of the one being roasted, or even anyone else there.2008-08-18 17:27:00

What do you mean? They don't do it well or you don't think they do it? All tey did in this one was make fun of the others.

I've stopped watching roasts after the roast of William Shatner. That was the crappiest hour of television I've watched in a long time. Everyone just talked about how he inspired them; it was more of a tribute than a roast, really. I have not seen one since; perhaps they've improved.2008-08-18 17:33:00

The Roast of William Shatner sucked... but the Roast of Bob Saget was fairly good. A few of the comedians sucked, but some of them did well. I thought it was okay.2008-08-18 21:28:00
