Well i've just submitted my survival level after about 15 hours of tweaking everything and getting it just right, and seconds after i've published it the message box at the top says "1 play, 1 comment" and all I get is a 1 star rating with the comment "heart my lvl coz i heart urs" and indeed.. I had a heart on it, what the hell is going on?

It's the bad side of the LittleBigPlanet servers. Much like YouTube, for every awesome creator in LittleBigPlanet, there's 99 creators that have no idea what they are doing. Many of them resort to trading hearts (hence the term H4H), and if you're a serious creator, you just have to ignore them and continue to create. There's tons of people here who appreciate a well-designed level, so focus on sharing stuff here rather than expecting anything from the servers themselves.

Oh man I feel for you, that's a freakin' plague... If that happened to me right off the bat like that, I would delete the level and republish it. That [explitive deleted] just gave you a one star rating to start with on top of that!! I can't believe how [insert any and all arrogance-related adjectives here] that is! Totally agree with you, but a one star rating to get started is bad, people won't go check the comments to figure out why it was left. I say just delete it re-publish it for now, shouldn't get the same bugger on your level from the start.

Heh, I was annoyed so I just deleted it and republished it this morning, hopefully when I return back to LBP soon I don't see anymore of these vile creatures x.x Edit: And ty for the info cartman

H4H comments usually hit my recycle bin at light speed. Most people that seek you out for h4h don't actually bother to check if you heart them back, so I consider it a bonus. Though the 1-star is a pretty swift kick in the nuts, so I think you did the right thing republishing. I'd probably return the favor on his levels if it were me.

If a level gets a 1 star rating as the first play, especially if it's not warranted (and who releases levels that are worth 1 star?), then you could get stuck with a very low star average over the life of the level. The next person to play will see the average for all the stars, in which case it will be one. Even if they liked the level and were planning to intentionally give a high star rating, they might downgrade it after seeing the automatically suggested "average" come up. So yeah, a 1 star start means a delete and republish in my book.

Omigod do I haaaaaaaaaate when people do that. I make a point of deleting any such comments that I find in the ones I've published. It's just........argh. A waste of perfectly good text, that's what it is. More reason why I dont care about the hearts overly much.

Lol yea ive said it before, Ill say it again, I hate the general LBP populace, I mean sure there are some cool people on there, like me, and you guys, but for the most part alot of those people are just stupid... H4H defeats the purpose of having hearts... I hearts what I likes... if somone hearts me, and asks for a heart, Maybe theyll get it, if there levels any good... if they have "ramp part 2" then no no hearts for you. and if they really care that much about it, they can take their heart back, dont bother me.

Heh, yeah the "H4H" or "PLAY MY LEVEL!!!111one" are plagueing the comments section of my level too. Whay are these people even thinking, my level is (not trying to boast, I'm making a point here) getting 20 comments a day, has 9000 hearts or something. Do they really think I'm going to heart for heart them? It's not like I don't have the trophy... The people that want me to play their levels are whack too. I don't have the time to play everything people want me too and making propaganda for it won't help... Maybe they hope that other people see the comments but you still don't know if it's worth something... better look for levels (smart) people hearted right?

Yeah those people are a real cancer. I even get annoyed reading the comments on OTHER people's levels when they're full of that crap. There should be a "mark comment as spam" option so people get punished for leaving these spammy comments. Maybe they could get their commenting privileges temporarily suspended or something. And lol at hearting a level and then giving it a 1-star rating. Doesn't that kind of remove the whole point of hearting and make you even less inclined to heart them back? I think Mm are partly to blame though. I suspect most of these people are only asking for H4H to get the various create-related trophies. Now while I understand Mm wanted to encourage people to make levels by "rewarding" them with these trophies, in the end it seems to have just resulted in people making half assed levels and begging others to play and heart them. Hell, even Mm themselves have made fun of trophy levels in the MGS pack... I actually saw one guy whose only level was completely empty and titled something "HEART4HEART"-like.

This type of idiocy always makes me a little suspicious of levels that have lots of hearts. There's no way to tell if any level got all those hearts because they were genuinely good, or because people want those bloody trophies. On that note, frankly, I wish Sony had never implemented the trophies. Nothing but trouble. So *very* many stupid, STUPID levels would never have come into existence if people werent so obsessed with the accursed things. I generally make a point of ignoring the trophies, myself. They dont exactly DO anything except spawn crap levels online....

H4H is AIDS. Once one person starts it, everyone else slowly starts becoming infected. I did it once or twice, but have since deleted those hearts. Becaue now, I actually have good levels that can EARN hearts.

I hate it when people h4h to. I just HATE it when people just leave h4h comments on people's levels. They should learn that that trophies aren't the meaning of life. I would of preferred it if Mm/Sony just left trophies out of this game as it's nothing but trouble and I personnally couldn't care less about trophies.

whenever someone leaves a h4h comment in my level, I just delete it I wanted to do that, but by now I get 10-20 new comments per day, most of them are: Play my level!!!11!!1!one or H4H. While I like that many people play my level, I'm not gonna make it my dayjob to keep deleting the stupid comments... I expect that all the stupid people get their precious trophy between now and some months and the maddness wil stop..

A really great way to think of it. Anyway, think even if they didn't have trophies for Hearts, there would still be H4H levels, maybe just not as evident. People would still want others to play their levels and heart it so it gets more popular, thus the H4H would come back. ("I tried your level and hearted it for no reason, now do the same for me!") So, unfortuantely, there's no way around it. H4H is the new plague we must all avoid...
