Dripping Blood
Archive: 4 posts
Hi everyone. Here's a little creepy tutorial for Halloween Enjoy. 1. Start by placing a water droplet in pause mode, tweak it and set it to colour red, brightness 100 and opacity 100. 2. Now in the middle of the droplet, place a microchip. 3. Place a Randomiser (tweak it so the off time is greater then the on time). wire it to a Counters input (set this counter to 1). Connect the counter to the cycle tab of a 2 port Selector. (set to initial state port 1). 4. From the selectors port 1 output, wire it to an anto-grav (set to 100 antigrav and 100 dampening). From the selectors port 2 wire this to another antigrav (set to 4 antigrav and 3 dampening). also from the selectors port 2 output connect up a drip sound (however make it deeper as its more gooey than water (blood being thicker). At this point save the water droplet object. 5. Make a thin 4x4 square of invisible sticker panel or hologram. On this place a player sensor set to around 100 max radius. Wire this into a slow Randomiser, and wire this to an emmiter, and have it emmit the water droplet object we made below it (so it falls straight down). You will need to adjust the speed, duration, etc on the emmiter to get a pleasing drop effect. How it works. As the player comes in range, the player sensor activates the emmiter, (as it only activates in a range, it will save thermo as its off when the players off screen, away from it). This waits a random time, then emmits the blood drop. On the drop, intitially the selector is set to have the droplet not affected by gravitiy, the, randomly it selects port 2 and gravity takes effect. However, as its set gravity 4, it will drop slower (like thick blood). Hope this was useful | 2013-09-18 12:36:00 Author: Sean88 Posts: 662 |
