How can I make it so an object blocks off a beam of light & a motion sensor?

Is the only way to do that involve something with emitters? I'm trying to make it so you can move objects in front of a security camera that will block it from sensing sackboy.2013-09-18 00:17:00

No can do with the beam i believe, but could be completely wrong. Have u tried using sticker paneland slice and dice it, to where sections turn off as they touch the objects u ddon't want it passing thru?

in regards to player sensor, have another player sensor on the object that negates the player sensor on the spotlight.

If you have a spotlight, you could attach an invisible sticker panel "beam" that would actually do the sensing. When the player touches the beam, you could trigger your switch. In order to turn it off you'll have to split the beam into a bunch of different parts lengthwise. You can put logic on each part so that if the previous part of the beam touches something none of the parts further down the beam will sense.

I've done it to create some more realistic laser beams. Basically you'll want the logic on each piece of the beam to be that the player sensing switch is enabled only if the previous beam section has not touched an obstacle.

Now I need this lol. I can't figure out how to make it so if the beam is blocked off in the middle, the rest of the beam on that side turns off.2013-12-15 08:23:00
