Bubble help!!!

Archive: 12 posts

So I have this level I am pretty much done with. In some parts of the level, when you collect prize bubbles, it gets really laggy. The level's thermometer is filled to the brim so I don't know if that is a problem. Please, I need help...

Thanks in advance

Actually, yes, the levels with a full meter lags a bit in certain point.
You can only try to optimize it and save a fist of memory to prevent chances of lagging due to full meter.

would a larger level space make a difference? What I mean by this is the larger moon craters.2009-01-28 23:47:00

I'm afraid it won't.
(and quite sure)
But, to be honest, never thought of it, I always thought the available memory is the same despite of the crater you choose.

Nope.
I mean, I don't know.
It happened I played others' level that lags a bit in certain points, but never gave me a real problem, it is also true that never happened during a jump.
Things are different in multiplayer, I lag every 30 seconds if I play with US or JAP, but I think it's a problem of my provider not of the game server itself.

I had a comment on Miglioshin's Fantasy Adventure ch.2 concerning lag problems, from the UK where server problems are the major bug of the PSN.
(At least I was told so in a reply to a PM I sent in reply to that comment)

I think here in Italy things are better because I had this problem like two or three times over 300 or 400 levels I played up 'til now...

So, it bugs your level so much to become a problem?
Have you tried to play it offline and see if it still lags?
If so it is surely a meter problem, if not is another kind of problem (game server/PSN/provider/connection/busyness of the net at that moment... and so on).

No, the size of the crater you select from you moon has no bearing on the level itself.

Is it REALLY laggy? Is it happening at the moment you catch the bubbles?

Gluing too many bubbles on something gets the game EXTREMELY laggy. Try not to glue too many.

The reason it is laggy is because your thermometer is filled to the brim. The only solutions I see are...

A) Live with it, it isn't as bad as you think, I remember playing Mulberry Woods, there was this section that would lag when you picked up some prize bubbles, but it would only last for 10 seconds and I would be off, lag free and what not.

B) If your lag as long, like lets say 30 seconds to 1 minute long, then I would consider optimizing your materials/creations, trying to get as much space back from the thermometer as possible...

It isn't too bad but it's bad enough where it's gets annoying. The first few places where the bubbles are it isn't laggy at all but once you get near the first challenge it gets really laggy when you collect the bubbles. I am playing offline on it so it is probably the thermometer. I'll try do delete as much stuff as I can without ruining the level.2009-01-29 15:46:00

No, it's because you glued the bubbles. It lags when you do that.2009-01-29 16:44:00

thanks you so much!!! That's why the first little bit is not laggy because they aren't glued. 2009-01-29 23:11:00
