Basic object question

Hi,
I'm still getting to grips with the create mode and want to make a pretty basic 'game' object ... One that is capable of being emitted and will destroy the player (or other karts) if it hits them but will be destroyed if it is hit by a weapon (and if destroyed would add to a players score).
I've messed about unsuccessfully but thought this must be a pretty standard thing ... Would be very grateful if someone could post some easy to follow instructions

I should add that I've worked out how to destroy an object with a weapon sensor and a destroyer.
I haven't worked out how to get the object to destroy a kart if impacted ... Or how to get the object travelling down the track towards the player.

Put a chip on your object. On the chip you have to put this http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/_0003_12.png to make the object destroying the kart when it hurts the kart. On the icon press square to make it looks like you want (fire, water, thnuder...)

On the same chip put this: http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/_0001_12.png

Then, again on the same chip put the following items:
http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/dcitec14.png. it detectets when a target hits the objects
Attach it to a counter http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/compte10.png settle on one hit, and the counter must be linked to a destructor http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/destru10.png

Save your object and put it in your emettor

Normally it makes exactly what you want: it kills the kart want it hurts it but the player can also destroy the object if he hits it.

PS: if the object is made with different parts, put a destructor on evry single parts and link the counter to each destructor, otherwise only one part of the object will be destroyed.

Thanks for such a fast reply!
That worked fine when I put a weapon blast sensor on too and linked it to the counter.
Is there any way I can assign points to the player for destroying it?
How do I make it travel down the track, something to do with path follower I guess???

Yes you can
Link the same counter to a transmettor http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/transm10.png.

Delete every spawn point but one

On the spawn point put a chip and on the chip put a receptor http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/rcicep10.png linked to a score giver http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/15/88/90/69/donneu10.png. Press square on the receptor and choose the option "only from owner" and press square on the score giver and choose the option individual instead of default. You can also choose the number of points you'll give.

Copy 7 times your spawn point

For the path, i have no idea, i never used it.
