Logic help for 2v2 team based spawning.

I have a level using remote controlled sackbots and need a way to spawn 2 players only on side A and the other 2 on side B. The controlinator is on a hologram that follows the sackbot. I wanted to ask you guys if there's already an effective way to do this because I tend to overthink logic.2013-09-04 09:08:00

If each player follows their own sackbot, all you'd have to do is emit 2 of the sackbots at side A, and the other 2 at side B. This way, when a sackbot is destroyed, a new one will spawn at the relevant side and the controlinator will follow the new bot automatically.2013-09-04 13:05:00

Hi Grimmsibot.
What you might try is to have your sackbots already in place. 2 on one side, 2 on the other. you could have a different tag on each, such as 'team 1 pl 1', team 1 pl2', 'team 2 pl1', 'team 2 pl 2'.
The easises way to choose who is on each team, is to have a 'selection area'. As you spawn a player sensor detects the number of players, and spawns that number of control seats (set it up so that if 2 players enter, it emmits the 'team 1 plr 1', and 'team 2 plr1' seats, to balance teams).

Now when all available players choose thier seats, the game will start (you could have it where when all active players are in thier seats it activates each players follower. So if team one player one is in his seat it will on his tag on a follower, making him jump to where that relative sackbot is.

Well... the players and thier seats never get destroyed, so once the enter them, they will always stay in them. Its just the sackbots that die.
You could have it so that if say, player ones sackbot dies (with 'team 1 plr1' tag), it will respawn that particular sackbot (team 1 plr 1). That player will go to that particular sackbot as the tag sensor on thep layer seat is still looking for that particular tag.
