Bare Necessities

In what will most likely be my final Vita level, I decided to make a level in under ten hours (spread out over 3-4 days) that focused heavily on simplicity, both for visuals and gameplay (and there was also no prior planning at all). It's not incredible or anything, but there are a few interesting gameplay ideas I think. The level is almost entirely made out of cardboard as well, so have fun with that. Try to get the maximum score of 100, it's not as easy as it sounds.

Also, the achievements are broken for some inane reason. They are supposed to be given at 50, 75, and 100 points, but it won't work. Special thanks to zynax555 for making awesome levels that inspire me. Also worth noting: sackbots aren't well optimized on LBPV.

I have more things on the way for LBP2, stay tuned. I may create again on LBPV, but probably not for a relatively long time (assuming people are still playing it, that is).

I really enjoyed that level. It's nice to play something simple but still good looking, especially in times where levels are overflowing with blinking neon lights and loud dubstep. The gameplay was very interesting, different and fun. I don't think that I will ever get 100 points, but Kudos to those who will. Just like dsdavve said, there should be more levels that are like this.2013-08-28 14:38:00

Right onto what I thought of this level. As I said in your other thread, I played your 3 unfinished levels before this one, so I was having a bit of a bonner-fest really, and it was great to get to play a full level; and you made sure not to disappoint. Whilst perhaps not the strongest level compared to your unfinished ones, this one did have a huge charm about its visuals, and the idea of using sackbots as the danger (and gameplay tool) was novel and innovative so kudos on that.

For a level that's entirely cardboard, this had a strong visual theme and the patterns and intricate details from one single material was superb. In all honesty you broke pretty much every n00b rule about creating (down show the floor, using a range of materials, lots of corner edit etc.) and have somehow come out with a fantastic level!

The gameplay is superb, a lot of things there that I wished I'd thought of (curse you brain!!) and that's about the highest compliment a creator can give in my books.

I <3 'd and 'd it because it deserves the recognition

Thanks guys. I might revisit the other stuff in the future, but not for a long while (I have two relatively large levels on LBP2, as well as a buttload of games I want to play in addition to uni). I'm glad people like this though, it was fun to make despite the sackbots (seriously, features just outright disappeared sometimes).2013-09-01 23:40:00

This is one of the best levels I've played in forever. I blame the gameplay. I'd go into more detail but not really. I suck at feedback2013-09-07 02:46:00
