Anti-Republish Mech

Archive: 11 posts

I have come up with a good system to ensure your copiable levels are never pirated again! As soon as the pirate tries to publish the level, it emits the following message in the middle; "I am sorry but you appear to be playing a pirated version of this level. The original was by [creator name here]. Please do not tell the pirate this is here, or they will fix it." How does it work, you may ask? Well, I made a logo for myself. Naturally, the level pirate will want to delete it before republishing. That's where it takes action. A VERY small tag was hidden on somewhere on this logo. Somewhere in the middle of the level, it detects that the tag is gone, and waits. When a player walks by the designated spot, it emits. It is delayed so that the pirate can look over the level and it looks natural. I would publish it, but then the level pirates would find it. So I hope this helped someone! 2013-08-26 04:01:00

Well, personally I would never publish something copiable unless it was some sort of giveaway or tutorial...2013-08-26 05:26:00

That's what I made this for. This would also help for stuff like "A level in create mode!".

You could use the share option 2013-08-27 17:08:00

You could use the share option

But this is funnier. Although the thing I would do is a microchip on a piece of holo (Which can be placed in the outer walls of the level.)
Which emits a million trollfaces if your logo is deleted.

I like the idea, everything awesome, but ... the pirate doesn't have to delete the logo and can hide it as well. 2013-08-27 19:04:00

Most people wouldn't unless they suspect the mech is there...that's why you should put the logo in your non-copiable levels as well.

The idea is to make them think nothing is going on. If it's that obvious, they'll just hide your logo instead of deleting it.

We could refine this in the third game too. Do this to the logo: attach a popit cursor sensor, set it to detect when it is picked up on any of its rigid connections, and add a destroyer with rigid connections mode on to it. Therefore, if they try to hide it, they will be greeted with this: NOPE, it's gone. So they may notice the mech, but it's impossible to stop. Try your best to put the sensor and destroyer and tag in a chip the least obvious spot. Also the smallest. You could also serve it up in the start.

This is old too.

I tried this before with my Copy Safe. Glitchers made it their missions to break my locks and fail-safes. I went as far as putting the device as far into the levels edge as possible, but they broke it even then. I hope you have better luck then I did.2014-12-12 03:04:00

Lol, forgot *whseww* || lol pause screws dat suggestion ovah. (Mine at least)

All that would be great is a work in pause tweaker lel.

OR, if it's HIDDEN, the tag will NOT be in the zone. So we need to prevent selections on a TAG sensor. It will detect if it's hidden, and therefore it stops pause mode from interfering. And, the sensor will broadcast a destroy tag, therefore also destroying it too.

O.O OH NO OPACITY TWEAKER.
