Get ready for episode 2 of my Lost Series. In case you are worried that you haven't played episode 1, don't worry. Episode 2 is a stand alone episode. This game also continues the adventure gameplay where you will have choices.

There are three types of gameplay you will run into.

Choose Your Poison

http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/bf38586d159c62b7452d781e51d2c7aef4924af4.jpg

This is my favorite type as it lets you choose which obstacle you want to face. If you die you will be able to retry the obstacle or choose a new one. It's very flexible.

Choose Your Path

One area intrigues you more than other? Great! You can choose where you want to go. Unlike Choose Your Poison you will only be able to choose one.

Choose Or Lose

http://i8.lbp.me/img/ft/f887f370c5bf890d42eb63a0b51bc2c51de1e870.jpg

A simple question that tests your memory. You will gain a lot of points if you get the question right and will only lose a little bit of points if you get it wrong.

There are also secret hidden objects that give information about the show if you find them. Some are not that hidden

Thanks to these four people for the amazing music and Biggischnupsi and avundcv for testing

Thanks for queuing it all!
It is a bit strange

I have a feeling my level is a little bit on the difficult side, which I wasn't going for.
If any part is too hard let me know.
I'll tone it down.

Great level!
Very nice visuals, sometimes demanding gameplay and this great "lost-feeling".
And I love the "choose your poison" thing

Excellent!

Thanks avundcv! Much appreciated

If anybody wants to check out some awesome music, I also left level links in my level at the end.
JFM2796 is the king at making Led Zeppelin songs.
Milenio4 is the queen at making Green Day and Michael Jackson songs.
SoundIsMe and CuriousSack have an awesome selection of original songs.
I used all of these songs in my level.

If every time I talk about John Locke and then people think I'm talking about John Locke from Lost, I'd have enough money to buy the six seasons of the TV-show on DVD so I'd have a clue what they're talking about.

To be brutally honest, I am not a fan of the show. I liked the first episode and the second and the third. Then I missed an episode and the next time I had no clue where any character was an what everyone was talking about, so I just gave up. I'm too busy of a person to follow a program so I see every single episode of it every time it's broadcast. However, I won't hold that against this level, because it would be unfair, ignorant and just foolish. Granted, if this was a level based on a Doctor Who episode, I'd be all over it, but that's just the way I am with Doctor Who.

Anyway, the level... The level was good. It wasn't groundbreaking. I don't think it really tops any list like "Smurfy's Hidden Objects: Wild West edition" did and I don't think it has an interesting enough premise and atmosphere to make me like it more than I probably should like "The Center or the Earth Amusement Park." Out of your levels that I have played, this is definitely the weakest one, but it's not bad...

The gameplay is okay. I could say it can't decide what it wants to be, because of how much convolution there is. One time you are gathering objects, another you are driving a car and then you're grabbing a box to stop you from flying into a plane-engine. If there is one scene in the program that I particularly remember, it's the one were they guy flew into the plane-engine and got splattered all around the beach, so it's a nice reference. It's also a very innovative piece of gameplay in itself, but overall this level depends on references to the TV-show too much for it to be considered above "okay" for anyone who isn't a big fan of the show. That's the problem when creating levels based on story-heavy TV-shows, instead of episodic ones like Doctor Who, where you can tell a single story in a single setting with a single premise.

The interactive moments, like the "pick your poison" moments and the quiz were cool. I guessed the quiz and I guessed it correctly, so hooray for me.

The level looks nice. It looks okay. The beginning looks just messy with the lighting and the decorations. There even were some alert signs that appeared on the screen because of the amount of small objects in a cluster on the screen at that time. The cinematic moments were well detailed and the environment was cool. Not unique, not breathtaking but, you know... Cool. The car-driving moment wasn't good looking, since there was nothing to look at. However, it can be excused because it could've distracted from the gameplay at that point.

Audio-wise is how this level truly shines. The music is especially great. The calm music fit in greatly and the custom musics were all good. I especially loved the use of Michael Jackson's material here. I also very much liked how diverse the music was, from time to time. You have some mighty awesome friends, Greensmurfy.

All in all, it's a bit difficult to review this level because of how much more it offers for the fans of "Lost" than it does to someone like me. Therefore, I am going to have to leave you without an overall number this time. It's not that I didn't like the level, it's just that I don't like the source material enough to care about this level enough to be invested in it.

Thanks Schnupsi Glad you liked it.

Even though you didn't particularly like the level FreeAim, i still enjoy enjoy reading your review. You gave some valid feedback. It is true that I used a lot of Lost references. Probably in every scene there was something, which would go over the head of anybody that didn't watch the show. To be honest, I think there was only one person that wrote feedback and has seen the show. That's a bit of a bummer lol. However, I knew there was a lot of people who haven't seen the show so I tried to tell a coherent story and add interesting gameplay.

Really appreciate you playing and I respect your opinions.

I played this the other day and really liked it. Never got into the TV Show but still enjoyed the level, most of it anyway. It broke on me or rather, the level link failed to load. I was on the part where you choose between van ride or the other thing and I chose Van ride. After the Van portion, it just stopped, went back to the Van/other thing (sorry, forgot what it was)menu and wouldn't let me select anything. I then "popped" myself and it took me all the way back to the entrance where I appeared as my own sackboy and I could roam around that way. I'll give it another try later.2013-08-27 13:48:00

Thanks for playing my level and letting me know about this Xero. The problem is I don't know how to fix this. Does anybody know a better way of hooking up a level link? I just have a toggle on a sequencer that activates the level link.

I guess if the level link doesn't work, I could have a back-up plan. Place a level link near the van/boat scene with a checkpoint so people can "pop" themselves if it's locked.

I didn't watch the series however this level does make me want to the visuals are great, the cinematics are really great. Travia is a nice touch even though I guess most of it, Things like selecting your poison made this level really added an usually unseen in lbp level interaction this was a great idea. As much as I do admire the level and it was a little slow for my liking however that is not a big deal at all. The music was outstanding especially the use of stairway to heaven within it which surprisingly I have been looking for on lbp for awhile so thank you.

As for F4F I am trying out a new piece of logic which at times can be glitchy in my new level, If you could give it a try report any glitches or overal improvements which could be made to the level please let me know in as much detail as possible, I want to try and improve on as much as possible before putting it into another level check it out here https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=81714-Danto-saga-14-Left-for-the-Reaper-(1-player-only)
