Reset regulation

Hello,

As with my last Help! post, I have a section of track that gets destroyed, forcing the player to take a branch, and it seems that when you die at this section or right before it, it respawns you after it. I played the reset demo, but couldn't gleam much out of it. Would someone explain how to do it and how it works in specifics?

Did you download the copyable level: Demo: respawn location (https://karting.lbp.me/v/3319)?
The system allows you to force kart respawning where you want.

It should still be copyable, I haven't touched it in ages. Check the level options, there should be a copy option somewhere. But the system is pretty simple: a reset sensor can detect when a kart is being reset, and you can use that to trigger a reset gadget that is configured to spawn to a particular spawn point. IIRC there's also a tag sensor to see if the kart is in the particular area.

Finally got the demo copied, and got a reset to work right. But another problem has arisen that I can't figure out: I added a second regulated respawn location, and now neither work. I have the microchip on the initial spawn, with a reset sensor and a tag sensor set to 20 yards and set to the first tag color, tied into an AND logic, which outputs into a reset logic resetting to a named arena spawn. Just like the demo has. That worked. On the same microchip I tied the reset sensor into a separate AND logic along with a second tag sensor set to 20 yards and the second tag color, the AND logic tied into a second reset logic, specified for a second separately named arena spawn. Once this second set was set up, the game went back to not regulating resets. I tried using a second reset sensor instead of how I originally split the output of a single one, and I tried using two separate microchips, but to no avail.


Anyone have any ideas as to why or a possible solution?

P.S. - The arena spawns are tied to progress, to activate after certain laps, FYI.

I believe I've figured out the issue. Seemed to be 2-fold: tags seem to be label dependent as well as color, they won't recognize each other if their label isn't the same; also, sometimes the spawn point label or the reset logic direction label need to be reset/reapplied.
