Which(part of) levels were a complete ***** to ace?

Archive: 37 posts

No one has perfect reflexes so of course you'd get screwed over by the most ridiculous of things when aiming for that golden spade whether it's from mistiming a jump or suffering from frayed nerves. So here is a list across LB1/2 of dreaded levels(parts) that most likely cost you your ace. Which one almost cost you your sanity?

Serpent Shrine(Getting fired from the boss)
Boom Town(Not handling explosives with care)
Bang For Buck(Same as above)
The Bunker(Wheel of Doom)
The Mines(Failing to copy Indiana Jones)
WITWIAC?(Owned by giant robot)
Fireflies When You're Having Fun(Rushing Recklessly)
Flight Of The Bumblebees(Falling before the boss)
Full Metal Rabbit(They're firin their LAZORS!)

The Bunker was definitely the hardest for me in LBP1. As for LBP2, I only remember Full Metal Rabbit giving me trouble.

Each game definitely had its throwing-my-controller-across-the-room moments, though.

I would have to say I agree with all of what you have said. I was really determined for the Bumblebee one, because I wanted that Panda costume. LBP1 was almost impossibly, as I was a young'un. But, through hours or work and about three years of "Restart?" I finally aced it all. (Only to have the YLoD)2013-08-20 20:02:00

I remember when I 1st got LBP1 a few years ago and I couldn't ace anything. But I went back a few weeks ago and I literally aced the whole game in a day. I'd say all LBP2 levels are easy to ace except for "where in the world is avalon centrifuge" because it's so long.2013-08-21 16:35:00

The Bunker for LBP1, and WITWIAC for LBP2. I honestly didn't find Full Metal Rabbit that hard. :S2013-08-22 15:29:00

I wouldn't say any levels were hard for me to ace (the bunker but that was because I kept on playing with friends so there was a lag and my friends were bad ) but I know for LBP2 I still haven't gotten the aces in spades because of how much freakin' pressure is put on you for so many levels!2013-08-24 05:59:00

Hmm well everybody knows The Bunker is really hard but I had an awful time for some reason to ace The Negativitron battle... I guess it took me at least 30 tries 2013-08-24 06:12:00

Someone discovered a trick to getting that trophy easier. After you ace a level and return to your pod, go into the options and backup your profile. Your ace chain will also be saved and if you die simply reload your backup and continue until you get your trophy.2013-08-24 09:38:00

Definitely the bunker, as it was the hardest level in the game.2013-08-26 02:03:00

You should've seen me playing "Where in the World is Avalon Centrifuge". I died more times there than playing Mega Man. (And it was a lot.)2013-09-14 23:32:00

Unfortunately I never played the first but there are a few levels on the second that had me pulling hair.
First off Full Metal Rabbit. The second half wasn't to bad for me, that's if I got there alive. The first half was a pain. The ones spraying fire had my number and the pads collapsing were so awkward. I hated that part of the level. I've caught more bombs then I care to admit.
Where in the world is Avalon Centrifuge was the last level I aced. Figuring the ins and outs of it took a while. The first half was hard but now I could do it in my sleep. Those dang flying purple things would get me every time. The lazers weren't as bad. Same with the start of the second half. The very end was easy after I figured it out. That part was epic by the way.
Other then those two, the attack of the marshmallows was crazy. I couldn't beat it so I just joined others until one could.
I bought lbp2 on the second of the month and I just finished getting bubbles and acing everything the other day. I am sure it will keep me entertained until a third is released. Such a good game, I can't believe this series slipped by me. I almost want to pick up the first and attempt to finish it. Can you use the stuff you unlock in the first, on the second?

Yes you can! When you finish collecting stuff in LBP1 just go to LBP2 and import LBP1's game data.

I never tried to ace many levels in LBP 1, but I aced all of LBP 2 to get that awesome platinum trophy! Probably the most frustrating level in LBP 2 for me to ace was Fight of the Bumblebees... so... much... plasma!2013-11-21 20:06:00

Where in The World is Avalon Centrifuge and Casa Del Higgenbotham.

I kept getting unfairly killed by the flaming death pits and lasers in WITWIAC and my brain kept turning off on Casa Del Higgenbotham, which made me run into multiple firey meanies. Plus that triple bounce pad part. I kept thinking there's only one meanie on the last bouncepad and I jump up and I find my sackboy a pile of ashes.

I never really did have much trouble with Full Metal Rabbit. At least the 2nd half.

I was playing FMR and I destroyed a tower at the bounce pad segment. The spikes happened to still be intact and you know what happened? The spikes on the tower bounced off, hit me and killed me.

The problem in LBP2 is, that they sometimes linked two levels together, so you technically need to ace two levels at once..

And LBP1 was hard as sack anyways.. i still didn't ace all of them xD

I wanted to ace the boss to get Higgenbotham's costume I think, and one of the hardest to ace was... that part with the jumping and you have to swing on stuff to avoid getting sucked in or something. I can't remember anything that well from it, but something kept getting me there. Hm.2014-01-07 21:52:00

Oh yeah I know that part.

O_o

I only tried to ace LBP1 when I really got into creating in LBP2 and realised there was all this stuff I was missing. I'm not sure now which was the hardest level to ace but I remember the very last level I aced was an Indian LBP1 level where you win the Chinese dragon costume head piece.

The Ludicrous List of LittleBigPlanet Levels to Ace

3. Boom Town - It drove me insane trying to get the bombs through the mines without getting game over, let alone without exploding any of them! But most of the frustration was because the level was long and quite difficult to play when you're getting so angry.

2. The bunker - A famous level this. Famous for being so awfully hard to beat! Oh and it's also just as hard to beat it without loosing any lives. But once you get in the flow of it and wipe your controller clean it can get much easier when you get in the flow of things. It may sound weird but if you give them enough time this level will become easier than boom town. True story.

1. Fire Pits - This is a level for serious adventurers. Most people just don't finish it so will be happy to leave this minigame out. But some might be all like 'Right, that's it! I'm sick of this level being the only unbeaten level. I want to see those goodies!' I don't know if you get goodies for Acing this one, but I can assure you, these people aren't thinking of acing this bugger!

The Stupidly awfully hard dumb-dumb levels of LBP2

3. This game is too easy for a #3

2. Full Metal Rabbit - This level is fairly easy to beat, but getting that Ace will take a few tries.

1. Where in the World is Avalon Centrifuge - This is a tricky, but fun level indeed. It reminds me a lot of Boom Town, in that near the end after so many varied challenges you have this part which requires quick thinking, and massive breaks in between safe-zones for you to take a deep breath!

For LittleBigPlanet 1, it was that **** wheel of death part at the end of the bunker. Raged soooo hard on that level, simply because it's stupidly tricky, and because it's so near the end, and if you've aced all others, getting that last one down was a nightmare!2014-03-16 00:51:00

Full Metal Rabbit. Hardest level in Craftworld. Period.

I agree but the most level 2 was really easy to ACE. However I did find got the hump and the last level of the toy story pack needed 2 players to ace easily (I have did it on my own since)

Hardest LBP levels history were probably.

The collector's lair, the bunker and act 5 the boss.

However I could just cop out and say all the survive challenges were the hardest to ace

I didn't play prehistoric moves or PSP LBP but vita only had infinate life check points which made it far too easy

The Bunker and Full Metal Rabbit wasn't that hard to ace for me... It was simply easy. Plus Full Metal Rabbit is most likely my favorite LBP2 story level. Probably because the title is referring to the movie "Full Metal Jacket" one of my favorite movies

But i TOTALLY agree Full Metal Rabbit is the 2rd Hardest LBP Story Level, 1st place goes to The Bunker...

I forget what it was called, but I think it's two levels before the bunker.
I broke a controller on that level. I'm not even joking, I still have the broken controller. I tried to fix it too.
