Survival of Life!

This game is a work in progress so don't begin to judge just yet! There is next to nothing finished of it as I've only just began creating my ideas for the game, but I am willing to share my plans on here.



As you may have noticed, the game is survival based. But not the classic LittleBigPlanet survival where you run and dodge falling objects or bounce to avoid point spike traps of death. It will be built using Sackbots and lots of logic, to create a stats menu that gives the player the ability to view his/her Food, Thirst, Sleep and Heat levels! The stats will be altered by the environment and the player's ability to sustain life in the Midlands of an unknown forest in the middle of nowhere. But it won't be as easy as you'd think, as the resources needed to satisfy the needs will be challenging to get to!

For example, to quench the players thirst he/she will be required to search the Midlands for some kind of stream or river and rather drink for the river or collect water using an item that allows so. But the source of water could be quite a distance away from the players camp. But the need for water isn't the players only problem, he/she is also required to chase down animals for food. Or build traps and leave them around the Midlands to capture small animals. But some animals will fight back, and will put the player up to a challenge. Depending on the animals size and strength.

The player will also be able to go around and collect resources to craft items with, such as grass, twigs, stone or even go cut down a full tree! All of the items the player collects will be noted craftable to show that they can be used to create something, be it health for the player, food or even to build a new kind of settlement! He/she can build it! But on the subject of settlement's, these will be needed to keep the player warm during the night and winter. Hence the reason the Heat status monitor even existing, but also during the winter: It will constantly deplete unless the player is carrying a torch or some form of light around with him.

The game will have a day to night cycle that will enable different kinds of animals to come out of hiding and others to go into hiding, this will enable the player to collect different kinds of resources and food depending on the animal. But not only that, at night, it is literally pitch black. There is no way to see at night unless the player has some kind of light source equipped.



As stated at the beginning of the post, the level is a massive work in progress! So the release date is unknown and probably will be in work still for quite some time! But if you wish to speed up the creation process then you could possibly, but this would require you being able to do as instructed, stay on track and actually be half-decent with logic, creating, etc.. if you think you fit the bill for all of those. Leave a reply and I'll get to you as soon as possible!
