Excellent level presentation! I got a quick chance to play this last night and found it to be well executed and beautiful. There were plenty of wow moments and “how the heck did he do that” littered throughout. I enjoyed the whole thing quite a bit, even though I was completely horrible at it and only saw a fraction of what it has to offer. I had a difficult time picking up the controls (mainly the tilt) and I’m assuming it’s due to the fact that I don’t have much practice with it. The only thing that would make this more awesome would be to add a non-tilt player control option. Well done!2013-08-20 16:44:00

I agree 100%. It looks fantastic and I can see how fun it could be if only I could survive for more than 1 minute, lol! Controlling the space craft through tilt was just beyond me, sadly. I'm sure that's not true for others though and everyone should most definitely check this out. It deserves a lot more attention

@peoriaspitfire - I love your ingame review, lol.

Just freak'n brilliant. It's too bad that i'm not able to work the controls any better than a blind, no handed lady from Antarctica. More lives a future option?

Sounds like the way I play it too!

A little tip i can suggest is to use the circle button to slow the craft down to an incredibly slow pace which will allow you more time to work out which way the craft will move when you tilt the controller. Eventually you do get very used to it but to start with i found the circle button to be a life saver. The more advanced waves require you to use the boost button more instead as waves get faster and faster (and can be made even faster by the hazard speed debuff and the end of waves)
By wave 5 you only get 1 warning flash before the barriers rise, hazards are twice as fast and the between wave events become even harder, has anyone faced the enormous mothership yet that fires a beam across 1/3 of the track? or the bouncing bombs that in later levels force you to stay in close quarters of them?
My only other tip is how to remember which buttons move the craft in or out.Picture you are playing a game of last man standing, the left upper trigger (L1) means you were still "left in" the game while the right upper trigger (R1) means you have been knocked "right out" of the game works wonders for me!

Thanks for all the feedback guys/gals it means a lot to me!

Played this today, enjoyed it quite a bit.

The game itself looks lovely, I like the use of the wormhole, and the constantly changing stage always gives the player something new to look at and keep an eye on.

The gameplay, however, I struggled with. I like the idea of using the sixaxis, particularly as it adds a level of immersion as you franticly twist your body trying to avoid the hazardous squares, but in practice I found it to be difficult to use. I had trouble reconciling all the bits and bobs of information I needed to properly play the minigame (red dots are bad, which shoulder goes in, etc), and had rotten luck as a result. HOWEVER, that isn't to say I didn't enjoy the level The controls are clearly tightly balanced, and I do like that you added in speed up and slow down buttons for the precision that this minigame requires. I could see myself spending a good bit of time having fun mastering these controls, and continuing through as the difficulty increased. I hadn't gotten very far, but adding in the rotation added a whole new level of challenge and enjoyment

I got a bit impatient with the tutorial, so may have missed this, but I wasn't sure why the dots would occasionally turn rogue on me, which was a little bit of a frustrating experience, as their point penalty is so stiff. Additionally, it would be awesome if you could add in a life or a restart system, but I imagine the thermo is adamantly saying "no" on those points.

Overall, quite a fun minigame, and a good use of the sixaxis controls (finally!), thanks for the level!

EDIT: Many congratulations on the pick, well deserved

Congrats on the well-deserved pick. I wish I could have survived longer than it took me to write this sentence.2013-08-26 22:36:00
