Hi rltj1863, thanks a lot for this little tutorial (I think it should be moved to the tutorials section by a mod)! I prefer to use the "Freaky Clouds" material from The Cosmos, just change the color to orange or red and change the animation speed to make it look like it's flowing. You can also set an invisible hologram on fire and put it on the same layer. It's great for lava lakes.
