Toy's and Devices ?

Archive: 5 posts

Hey folks!

I'll start off with a question, to see if this has ever been brought up before, or even done for that matter:
Are there any cool intricate toys or devices in LBP2?
To be more specific, are there any cool multi-purpose devices made and shared by sackfolk out there, that I can use and interact with on my moon or in a level? Not just simple stuff, I mean like a whole level worth of logic, packed in a toy or gadget that does something useful or fun.

For example, a functional retro console, that plays games from the actual cartridges that you collect (from wherever). Or a well made tamagochi that you can play with on your moon and keep an eye on. A PC, that can program custom made chips easily. (something similar to what I tried to do here: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=81219-ARC-H100-Microchip-Advanced-Health-system-on-one-chip-with-dynamic-customization )

I kinda know of stuff like this floating around, but nothing really solid. Surprising really, since I noticed a lot of older players love to play around with logic, and in general, people seem to be better at logic than anything else (at least that's what I've noticed personally)

If you guys do know of, please tell, and if you don't and think it's a good idea to work on something similar, once again please tell... and maybe help? <3 ^^

There was a large collaborative effort towards that end 4 years ago with the Logic Pack project.

pivottt lead the way when it came to programmable health logic, practically identical to the contents of your link. I believe pivottt's Health Meter Toolkit is included in the Logic Pack.

Thanks,
Wow, I never knew of the guy, his stuff is great! Too bad about the v6, I'll try and contact him, and see if he's still working on similar projects.
The only extra I have on the health system, is a physical tool with an intuitive UI that you interact with using a controlinator. (Which now has basically turned into a do-it-all thing-a-ma-bob that needs a lot of logic cleaning and compression) But then again, He might have loads of stuff I'm not aware of that he didn't showcase there

I'll make sure to check out his work. Thanks.

Think I'm getting mixed up. It wasn't the Logic Pack, it was the Creator's Toolkit that was closer to what you're asking about.

Once again, you deliver Ayneh. :3
Thanks a bunch! It's not entirely what I'm looking for, but it's good enough for now, and I'm glad to see it's a well received phenomenon.
