Some Sort Of Way To Change Motor Direction [SOLVED]

Sup, Sackfellows.

Hmmm.....how should I put this....

What I'm looking for, is a way to change motor direction after it passes a certain point.

Is this possible?

Are you talking about a moving motor bolt? If so make it connected to a selector which is hooked up to a direction combiner. Put a tag and tag sensor on the moving object with the bolt and the place you want it to change direction then hook it up to the selector. Voila!2013-08-14 05:58:00

Thanks for your reply!

I'm new at this, so here's exactly what I want to do.

The motors are used for wheels on a car. When the car passes a certain point/tag, the rotation of the wheels will change and go in the other direction.

Is this what you described....in a sense?

best way to do this is with a 2 port selector 2 and gates and a direction combiner 2 and gates hook to direction combiner selector hooks to port 1 and gate hooked to + of combiner port 2 the other and gate whatever your using to control will be the other 2 and ports plug a tag sensor into cycle of the selector2013-08-14 09:27:00

The important thing to note is that the motor bolt is on speed scale and the and switch is on multiply values. For some reason I couldn't get it to work any other way which is odd since it should work with direction but it didn't for me. Just push square on the and switch to change it from lowest value to multiply values. This setup uses a grab to enable wheels.

I was mistaken I will upload a picture with LBP2 logic in a second. The picture above only works with vita
EDIT:
Here is the logic that works with LBP2 as well. The other didn't work because there aren't options on the and switch in LBP2. I had forgotten that.

Everything is set correctly by default except the bolts which are forward/backward.

Heh, alright. I'll go test it now!


EDIT: So I set it up as you have it there, but the car continues past the designated tag. What could I be doing wrong?

You probably set the wheels to close to the actual car. They should be a slight gap between the car and wheels connected by a thin layer behind them both. Also make sure the wheels can support the weight (rubber is best material but you can easily use the material tweaker for the same effect)2013-08-14 22:35:00

Whoops, I just got the wheels to move!

Now, the car just passes the intended tag and keeps going. That means something is still wrong, right?

Is the selector on the right setting to begin with? If so, check the range on the tag sensor.
If it's still not working, just add me as a friend on PSN and I'll take a look

The only thing with yours is that you're not using Motorbolts. I needs me Motorbolts!
