Publishing changes some colours/switches in levels (again!)

OK, I've got A Druid's Tale 4 100% ready to go, but when I publish it, things go .... funny. Switches/Materials that can be turned on/off, or have an on/off colour are just always on or off. They don't switch anymore. If you've played the series you know that different coloured sparkles are key to identifying which way to interact with the object, so it HAS to be right.

I remember the first few weeks of LBVP after launch a few of my levels did this. But after a Tarsier patch or two it seemed to work itself out. It's taken ages for me to make this level! Perhaps I need a few beta testers to check it out and let me know. It may just be my actual Vita not computing some computations or something.

Is anyone else noticing their published levels are fine on their moon, but funny on their earth?

What if those were YOUR mistakes :o

Naah just kidding... I could guess "Bad or weak" internet Connection, but I really don't know. Hopefully you will find the answer for this

Not sure what it would be otherwise. Maybe try copying the level to another space on your moon and try from there? Does it work offline, like before you publish?

i don't know if this would apply as it's a different way of handling things but in LBP2 some of my levels would appear weird on my earth but no one else would have the problem. It could be something like that or as doggy97 said, internet connection problem during publishing. I would try to remove the level and then upload it again. I remove first because it makes me feel like it does something more. I doubt it does.2013-08-09 22:40:00

thanks for the replies everyone! it does seem like a glitch of some sort, because it works fine in play mode on my moon. i realised it wasn't the end of the world as far as my level was concerned, i just had to put a few more hours of effort in, remaking parts in a slightly different way. its paid off, because now when I publish, it all works beautifully!2013-08-10 03:23:00

Great to hear! Was it similar to fixes that you would have to make if there were too many stickers in an area a giant sticker would have a ridiculous bar where the sticker wouldn't show?2013-08-12 21:22:00

My problem was with the snow material - I had it set to switch colours at certain points - and when I published all of them just switched to 'on' and never changed. So I just made 2 seperate bits of snow material and used an emitter to make them appear/disappear when needed.2013-08-14 23:44:00
