http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d64/ConfusedCartman/lbpazure11va4-1.jpgThe creator of Azure Palace, gevurah22 (known around these forums as donkey show), has been interviewed by the Official Playstation Magazine for their February issue. In the article are such topics as the inspiration behind Azure Palace, gevurah22's own favorite creators, and even a shout-out for LBPCentral! If you're looking for the issue, it features a Killzone 2 cover. I can gladly say that donkey show has confirmed he is working on a sequel to Azure Palace! If you're looking to play it as soon as possible, stick around LBPCentral! | 2009-01-28 00:27:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

donkey show is the man. What's on the cover for this issue, so I can go pick it up? | 2009-01-28 09:20:00 Author: Unknown User |
Coolest news! This is very well earned. I think Azure Palace was the earliest level I saw that was full of really inspiring outside-the-box ideas. It did a great job early on of setting the tone for what LBP levels would and could be, so I think it's a great choice to be featured in the magazine. | 2009-01-28 09:35:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
Incredible. Just incredible. It really shows you how much games are affecting people! Donkeyshow made a great level, and people noticed. Kinda wierd. Sony dont really pay attention to us. The money people... | 2009-01-28 11:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hey congrats Donkey Show! It must have taken ages to build this level. You earned this! | 2009-01-28 19:04:00 Author: JackBurton25 Posts: 116 |
Wow, awesome! Huge conratulations! | 2009-01-29 00:30:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
donkey show is the man. What's on the cover for this issue, so I can go pick it up? It has Killzone 2 on the cover. And thanks everyone! I mean, I really have to thank LBPCentral for hooking it up like that. Much love to all of you guys and the mods! I never would have thought this would get like this! I mean, I just did the stage for the heck of it, you know? Also... I spoke to some of the futureus guys today who own both the magazine and apparently I'm gonna do an interview (maybe with Veronica Belmont, yay) on the next Qore on PSN next week. AMPED OVER 9000!!! oh yeah... I'm starting up a sequel to the Azure Palace | 2009-01-29 00:43:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Wow man congratz! I'll be picking up this issue tomorrow! and I can't wait to see this sequel of yours! | 2009-01-29 02:17:00 Author: DarkGod13 Posts: 302 |
AMPED OVER 9000!!! oh yeah... I'm starting up a sequel to the Azure Palace Wow, if I don't see something amazing that can top Azure Palace, I'll cut you up boyo. ( Maybe a flying dragon that shoots other dragons at you and you have this huge dragon on your side fighting and it's an epic dragon fight between to dragons while you sit and watch and do nothing except dodge the dragons that are being fired at you, but WAIT! Your on a treadmill so your watching a dragon fight, dodging dragons, all while running on a treadmill, BUT THAT IS NOT ALL! You are also using the paintinator to shoot stationary dragons that will reward you with mini dragon prize bubbles, so you watching a dragon fight, dodging dragons, running on a treadmill, and shooting paint at stationary dragons earning dragon prize bubbles. ) Orrrr, you can just do a normal level. It's your choice. | 2009-01-29 02:21:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
Wow! Congratulations LBPC staff... must be neat to be responsible for a forum mentioned in a nationally circulated magazine. | 2009-01-29 02:34:00 Author: Comatoes Posts: 76 |
LOL I picked up the issue a few days ago and I was wondering if maybe he was on this site, that was before I saw the shout out though xD!... If no one minds I can post the page here! >_> | 2009-01-29 17:00:00 Author: scorpio_11 Posts: 18 |

Not in UK version... I was tricked. They have the same cover theme. I already had the mag though. | 2009-01-29 18:04:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |
Great job my friend. I look forward to the interview ^.^ Cheers! | 2009-01-30 00:17:00 Author: RAINFIRE Posts: 1101 |
We get the Australian version of the magazine, and sometimes newsagents import the US or UK version. I'll have to see if I can find one... The Australian version mentioned the Azure Palace and Sackoutte 2 in passing though, but no interview. | 2009-01-30 02:13:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |

Ever wanted a level designer job DonkeyShow? I'm sure you can get one in a snap now. Haha! It'd be nice, but being in Health Care Management doesn't really fit well. BTW, thanks y'all. =) | 2009-01-30 17:02:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |

Congratulations Gevurah. I actually think the First Mobile Armoursuit level is better. Awesome stuff! | 2009-03-13 03:49:00 Author: parsonetti Posts: 16 |
When did you make Azure Palace? Was it in the beta or was it that you got the game early and then made it before most people got the game because the game was delayed? Oh yeah, and Congratulations!!! Maybe you should make a level where you shoot dragons that shoot dragons while on a treadmill and then get dragon points when you shoot the dragons with the paintanator... Or you can make a normal level | 2009-03-13 05:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
Anyone else get to watch Donkey Show in the March episode of Qore? He did a great job! | 2009-03-18 19:37:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Yea downloaded the episode the other day and watched it, it was a good interview if a little short. Cheers QuozL | 2009-03-18 20:10:00 Author: QuozL Posts: 921 |
Awesome some of you guys have seen the Qore episode. There was a lot of stuff they didn't go over that was actually recorded in the interview, but I figured a lit would get cut out due to time constraints. It sure as heck did come out a lot better than I thought, LOL. Veronica Belmont is pretty awesome as well. Most of the time we were goofing around with a bunch if stuff in my house. | 2009-03-19 16:20:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
I don't think I've played your latest version of the level. SHAME ON ME! I will check it. I played it last in the beta or whenever you first made it. | 2009-03-19 17:25:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
No worries man. I'm actually working on a remixes version that's more streamined, longer, and user friendly now that I have more tricks up my sleeve with the tools so me on the lookout for that one. | 2009-03-19 18:39:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Hey donkey props on the good interview on qore. That was the first episode I bought and it was definitely worth it. Its weird to say, but I always envisioned you as some white dude with red hair and a scraggly beard. Guess I was wrong, lol. The sketches you did were dope and the chick who interviewed you could get it in the worse way Man it is crazy that this game made you semi-famous. Kudos | 2009-03-19 23:05:00 Author: tyboogie Posts: 96 |
Haha, you're telling me. It's still really all surreal how much press it's got. Thanks a lot though man. You'll be definitely be seeing more of me in the next few months as well. =) | 2009-03-23 20:00:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
LittleBigFamous - I think we need to get this into next years websters. "Someone who, through LittleBigPlanet creation, has become a well known figure and is suddenly given a lot of video-game-related attention - but under most circumstances goes unpaid monetarily." (my wife started using that on me when Splat Invaders Saga popped onto IGN - but it doesn't apply that much to me). | 2009-03-23 20:19:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
I think Azure Palace is awesome too. Anyways, congrats on the interview and good luck on your future projects! It's quite amazing that a game can make people semi-famous. | 2009-03-29 20:24:00 Author: lk9988 Posts: 1077 |
they also talked about that level on qore xD i got my first copy of playstation magazine. and about time. >_> | 2009-03-31 20:22:00 Author: Unknown User |
I played the level again after hearing about all this. I remember how it was the first Community level I had ever played when the game first came out. Actually, donkey, you've inspired me in a lot of my levels; you put a lot of quality into your work. I'm hoping that if I hang around here for a while I'll start catching onto some of your skills, haha. Anyway, congrats on all the sucess. By the way, were you going to restore the level to it's latest version like before it was removed? (Or is it like that now? Call it a hunch, but I thought the level seemed less... updated today.) | 2009-03-31 22:07:00 Author: Xenifus Posts: 306 |

Thanks man. Just keep working on your stuff and you'll do awesome things! But besides that, I haven't changed the Azure Palace aside from adding shields for other players. | 2009-04-01 08:12:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Thanks man. Just keep working on your stuff and you'll do awesome things! But besides that, I haven't changed the Azure Palace aside from adding shields for other players. Ah. Well, what I noticed that was different was but two things: 1. Before Euchilha (Whatever you called it, I'll just refer to it as "The Boss"), the wall never went down, and I had to go over it through a small opening. 2. The Boss itself never died (Perhaps I forgot to hit a brain, but I'm sure I counted all of them) Anyway, I really appreciate the support, that means a lot to hear it from you | 2009-04-01 11:41:00 Author: Xenifus Posts: 306 |
Is Azure Palace good? I've never played it, =/ | 2009-04-16 12:36:00 Author: Unknown User |
