http://ia.lbp.me/img/bl/60a191d149bfb9bdf622575941d599243f6998ef.pngWarbla de - Battle Forged. 1Player Onlylordwarblade1 Player Only Hack 'n' Slash adventure. The mighty warrior known as Warblade stands alone against the Evil Warlord of Argoth and his legion but falls and is sent to the Underworld where he must face even darker threats to save his soul.
This level was incredible! I loved the storyline and the visuals! The silhouette was well made, and the combat system was just a pure jar of awesomesauce! The different enemies throughout the level was fun and I really enjoyed picking up, health points, secrets, and especially leveling up! The sound effects gave the level a very nice atmosphere along with the beautiful scenery and the moving background was a nice visual touch. The combat system worked incredible well, and I enjoyed watching out for the little icon to pop up over the heads of the enemies, as they were about to attack me. The health and level system also worked very well. The XP bar only increased when you were on a killing-spree, and I found that quite challenging. Though I leveled up quite fast! The ladder climbing was a very nice touch and I enjoyed tearing down rocks and what-not to proceed. The different bosses were just awesome! Especially Medusa! I really liked the challenge of NOT getting hit by her deadly beam. Otherwise I was incapable of moving until I destroyed the curse by moving my analog from left to right very fast! Amazing attention to detail in this incredible level by LordWarBlade, a must play!I was completely and utterly in shock as I took my first steps in this beyond gorgeous level. The shear amount of detail that has been painstakingly crafted is without a doubt, some of the best, if not, the best art that I've seen in all my years of LittleBigPlanet. Every where you look is just something new to amaze the eyes and more than once I was caught off guard and was slain because of my incessant gawking. Gorgeous graphics alone do not make a good level and I got to say, the gameplay here is equally as impressive. This is a "hack and slash" adventure that will have you facing many different types of foes along your path of the Underworld. There are puzzles to solve, platforms to, well, platform and many secrets to discover. DO NOT CHEAT YOURSELF, PLAY THIS LEVEL!.Silo-huh or was this an extension of Holy Cow. The atmosphere in this hack n slash adventure is surely not overlooked in this artist piece of work. There's hardly anything I could say here that I can actually put to words, cause this level just leaves me blown away and speechless. The graphics man, o' my gawd the graphics just set you back in your seat and leave you in a moment of awe and amazement. It's amazing to think that this is just the 1st installment. WOW o WOW. Lordwarblade has now been officially placed high upon the alter of creators I will definetly uggle over upcoming levels. Kudos to you Lordwarblade for sharing with us Battle Forged

http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/53534a9a99423d5b2644efdbab4f862944970d1f.pngCobble stone Covedolphins-R-lameWelcome to Cobblestone Cove! Where the skies are blue, the air is warm and the water is DEADLY! Enjoy the atmosphere as you run, jump and grab your way through this abandoned hideout! --- 1-4 players, online multiplayer may cause lag so be warned! 1P is strongly recommended! Music by: @OMGYOUWOULD and @xX_ihamadi_Xx
Cobblestone Cove. The name just rolls off the tongue don't it? I love it. Few levels scream "summer" the way this level does. I can almost picture this as a real place and wonder what it would be like to actually run through here, swinging and bouncing across the vistas, staring at the beautiful scenery and finding hidden treasures. Aside from the deadly water and spiky spikes, I think it would be a blast! For fun platforming and lavish views, this level is a must play! For being summer there sure been an under abundance of summer levels, I almost forgot it was summer with all the horror and scary levels lately and then WHAM!!! Dolphins r lame brings us this fun romp with some very clever contraptions. The pace was smooth as molasses thru this platformer of a greener side. Funny thought, today while nature walking thru a canyon in a forest, I imagined that contraption that springs down and up was placed onto a face of cliff Great level dolphin, both times I've had a chance to playthru this level I enjoyed very much and wish to help spread the word of a great level

http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/4724b5a1c39c8b660f99c5ba3f6466082c96c3b6.pngMonste r Mansionstryder12Welcome to Monster Mansion! This mansion is loaded with both prizes and perils so be on the lookout and enjoy your stay. A level quite different than anything I've made before so feedback is greatly appreciated. Have fun! Music by Mastablastya

Halloween comes early to LittleBigPlanet in this wonderful fun filled monster-rific platformer. Well, to be honest, the focus isn't really on Halloween as you're not going to see the traditional symbols of the holiday like Jack-O-Lanterns and scarecrows everywhere. What you will find is extremely engaging and imaginative gameplay set in a beautiful environment. Now, something has to be said about the music. MastaBlastya is the composer of the beat you'll here in this romp and to my ears, it fit the level perfectly. I was tapping my foot, bobbing my head, and humming along as I jumped, swang and bounced my way through this terrific mansion. Don't delay, play today!Stryder’s earlier levels were gentle, woodland affairs - lots of nature…and none of it red in tooth and claw. This level is very different in style. For a start, it’s purple with dashes of electric pink and green and the jazziness doesn’t stop there. There are some bold decorative touches (a lot of them purple ). Cute and funky monsters peep out at you from all corners of this mansion and Mastablastya’s toe tapping, spooky themed music matches the mood perfectly. The platforming has a great flow to it and what with that and the music, the whole thing has a distinct rhythm to it. It’s an object lesson in how much difference the right music can make to a level. With this and his even more recent Snail Trail level, Stryder has come on as a creator in leaps and bounds and I really hope he changes his mind about leaving LBP2 for the Vita (emotional blackmail ftw ). In any event, fun to play, stunning looking and with a great soundtrack, this is a level you really don’t want to miss. I couldn't be happier with another spooky level while trying to enjoy the meager season known as summer. Stryder really brings home the creative instinct of LBP with a gorgeous rendition of a real graveyard smash. I think I was sold on the color purple and how fluidly it was used throughout this spooky adventure. Nothing brings home the chills like a fantastic sound track coupled with TV's with a live feed of static. I always appreciated Stryder's style and this time with the mixing up of genres, I know his work in the Vita will be diverse and looked forward too by many.

http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/03ba8f421b1ae32a14e6bb10ba1ffd1867ddc118.pngLand of MonstersHammertoe_1Welcome to the Land of Monsters, where the creatures are friendly and the water is deadly. Seven secrets stand between you and scoreboard glory. Enjoy. ---- Big thanks go out to StimpMeister and Alleycat for logic help and inspiration. Also big ups to Mastablastya for the use of his music.
Is that?..no, it can't be. It is! It's Hammertoe_1! Hammer has returned and in style might I add. Welcome to the land of monsters, friendly monsters, but monsters all the same. These creatures are the stars of the show and each time you see one, you can't help but stop and stare in awe at the craftsmanship. Each one seems to have a different personality and though most are static, they are full of life. There's no story here and I kind of like that. I can use my own imagination as to why these monsters are hanging out in this land. Speaking of the land. The gameplay you'll find here is just good ole classic platforming with some really well hidden secrets to find. Hammertoe, we missed you! Welcome back!So you have a set of colourful, cartoon monsters you want to feature in a level. What setting do you choose for them? A retro style pixel land would not be at the top of most people’s lists, but then Hammertoe_1 clearly doesn’t think like most people. And a good thing too – as soon as you see it you realise the combination is inspired. It’s eccentric and charming, just like the monsters themselves. From small, dragon-like blue ones to big fat grinning (or is it grimacing?) pink ones, every monster is beautifully designed and drawn. Each one you meet will make you smile…if you’re not already smiling at the gameplay, that is. For the gameplay is almost as engaging as the monsters with plenty of nicely designed platforming, lovely retro touches and seven very well hidden secrets to find. Having loved his goat series, I was so pleased to see Hammertoe_1 was back and with this level he has most definitely returned in style. The monster theme runs rampant within this pixelated adventure thru Monster infested land. This level takes the cake in everything I want in a level. Theme, check. Fun Factor, check. Great NPC's, check. Save Gate housings in the shape of Monsters themselves, check. I could take this level and print it off and place it on my wall it's so cool looking. Hammertoe has brought us something really great here and I just hope it gets played by everyone in LBP cause to me if there was a standout platformer so far this year I would definetly have this one at the upmost top of my list. Most definetly a level that surely should be played by all. I love this one way too much and will go back and play it a multiple number of times. Officially earning a kudos to you Hammertoe

http://i9.lbp.me/img/bl/0598b49de4e468aff11c05d1d4521f089243e0dd.pngBeyond the Roots.[4-A]: Reaching the secrets.bombird[STRICTLY 1 PLAYER] , TWO OR MORE PLAYERS CAN CAUSE AN ERROR IN THE LINK LEVEL , If you find a Bug please REPORT This deep world opens its doors for the last time, take a deep breath because there is no turning back. [PART 4-B ] very soon __ music by: Buddydestruction- 0165-Vivaldi-NL- Kingrtrocket -X_Disarmed_pro_X and velvet--Audio __ Thanks to my friends for test the level
Here is another breathtaking chapter in the Beyond the Roots series and in my opinion, may just be the best yet. Bombird has masterfully created one of the most atmospheric levels I think I have ever seen. This journey takes you deep into a world full of wonder and amazement. The pure majesty of the place is almost overwhelming and many times over you will find yourself just standing in awe of your surroundings. Take the time and enjoy this peaceful adventure. All prison riots, violence, anger, pretty much any form of negativity could be washed away by simply playing anyone of the "Roots" levels. Such a zen atmosphere that relaxes the soul and leaves you in a happy place. A casual stroll thru this level will gently leave you relaxed and at ease with the world. A must play after a hard day. I have surely come to appreciate a softer side of LBP cause sometimes we just need a little relaxation to wind us down. Thanks for the small moments in our live's that slow our heartbeats down a bit, Bombird kudos to you. An artistic and atmospheric tour de force from Bombird. The grandeur and beauty of this underground world is unsurpassed. It’s one of those levels it would be a crime to rush through. You need to relax and take your time to absorb all the amazing details, lighting and music which go to make up the different tableaux presented to you. And if you do, you’ll appreciate to the full the sense of mystery permeating these underground caverns. Bravo to Bombird for daring to do something different and on such a grand scale.

http://ic.lbp.me/img/bl/b1c1c8de65a3e18a9d12f154506ddcbae3e0804e.pngI Love My Companion Bomb 2shookie_monster[1 PLAYER RECOMMENDED---DIFFICULTY: HARD] The explosive sequel. You've been enjoying your new job but now you are DYING to get a promotion egh? Well, if you want the promotion then all you need to do is carry a bomb all the way through the East Wing of the Bomb Factory. Sounds easy enough, right? Music by @weirdybeardy.
Shookie is back with a bombastic sequel to his first foray into the bomb survival genre. Just like it's predecessor, your job is to transport a delicate bomb trough an obstacle laden factory. The bomb is as delicate as ever as one slight miscalculation and it's KABLOOEY! Game over bud. The premise may be the same but this time around the obstacles are even trickier than before..and maybe a bit more sinister as well. Never before have I played a NON horror themed level that got my heart racing as much as it did. Patience is the key to this one as speed kills! Play it, you'll love it. Warning, level <strike style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); background-color: rgb(250, 250, 250);">may be</strike> IS addicting. This level really should come with a health warning. Transporting your bomb through the maze of hazards in Shookie’s factory is just guaranteed to induce high blood pressure and teeth grinding! You need the patience of a saint, preferably a saint who has spent a lot of time practising walking on eggshells! It’s a brilliant concept and beautifully realised. You can see the thought that has gone into creating each obstacle, making it a test of pinpoint precision and spatial awareness. Needless to say, I don’t fare very well at this, having not got very much further than the first checkpoint. I take my hat off, therefore, to those with the skill and determination to get further and the number of players with replays in double, even triple, figures, just goes to show how addictive this can be! Huge fun for anyone who loves a good challenge!

http://i3.lbp.me/img/bl/d43b1ce87a85f6368f13ed1ba8600f230f19e270.pngThe Adventurous Adventure Inside a Bomb Factory!WESFUNWelcome fellow sack-thing to this adventure inside a bomb factory! professor Boom Unibrow McFluffy is waiting inside quickly hurry he has something to show you! --- Level created by WESFUN and a_robot_dlo__olb. Voice acted by WESFUN and L_I_M_I. Music by comishguy67 and MastaBlastya.
What's this? Another "bomb survival" in the showcase? Well, sort of. It is a bomb factory and you do have to survive some very tricky obstacles for sure. Wesfun invites us into another one of his challenging levels but this time instead of spikes covering every single surface, I'm looking at you Lotso Spikes 1 & 2, there are bombs everywhere. Heaps and heaps of them. They are on grabby things that you have to hold, the bombs that is, you have to hold on to the bombs! Then at one point, I had to even tiptoe across the tops of bombs! I blew up several times here in a spectacular array of explosions. Making it through the factory is complex but is indeed doable and in doing so, you will get to meet the sinister boss bad guy who of course hurls bombs at you. Great level that is dinomite! Play it, you'll have a blast! Ok, I'll stop with the puns now.WESFUN may have a very fluffy exterior, all unicorns and puppies and rainbows, but beneath it lurks something a lot more sinister and this level just proves it! His bomb factory is a death trap. There are bombs everywhere and there’s no avoiding them. On the contrary, you have to get up close and personal with the things! You’ll find yourself jumping on them, grabbing and swinging on them and even scuttling gingerly across a walkway paved with them! It can only end one way – explosively! And I could just hear WES giggling every time I was blown to smithereens. So it is indeed an adventurous adventure but there are some cool and original obstacles and a lot of fun on the way. It all ends with an encounter with the not so scary villain (who sounded very familiar… ) and you get a chance to deal some satisfying destruction of your own. It’s a great level, packed with explosive fun and featuring a megalomaniac g...no, I won't give away the identity of the bad guy; you'll just have to play to find out.

Lordwarblade has managed one of those rare things in lbp – creating a level that really doesn’t feel like you’re playing a 2.5D game and he pulls it off spectacularly! Forget the brilliantly detailed alien sprites, the inclusion of ‘ladder climbing’ and the deep story; just on gameplay alone this level is absolutely brilliant and well thought out. It’s impossible not to be impressed even if this isn’t your style of level, and for that Lordwarblade has a deserved spotlight.Every aspect of this level game is incredible, I usually get worried when I enter levels like this thinking that it's going to be too complicated for me to ever understand. But that wasn't the case here the UI was incredible easy to use yet allowed for so much depth in the gameplay experience. It is so well balanced for the first half of the level I felt like I was gathering way more med kits that I would ever need... But oh boy did I need them by the time I finished the level!

If anyone played lbp-psp then they’ll know the storymode levels were the most impressive part of the game. If you missed out on these, or want a touch of nostalgia then VelcroJonze has the perfect recipe for you. It’s a near perfect copy of Thieves’ Den, but with a touch of one of the best creators on the Vita added to the mix. Simply put, this is like an ice cream sundae with extra sprinkles, marshmallows and those little chocolate brownies. This level is that delicious!Mr Platformer himself, VelcroJonze concludes his participation in LCPSP project in style. With yet another fun platformer filled with fantastic gameplay. VelcroJonze mixed the gameplay up this time with a wonderful blend of the old styled gameplay, which could be found in lbp1 and lbp psp styled levels tied together with the newer stuff like bounce pads and touch based puzzles. This all blends together magnificently to become one big smoothie of awesomeness!

http://i5.api.vita.lbp.me/img/bl/8f570edb8d68cd1c757de45a0df33c754fee34ea.pngThe Other SidecomphermcCertain of her brother's fate, a girl crosses to The Other Side.

When deciding the spotlights this week, I posed the question ‘Has Comph ever made a bad level?’ and with that in mind, I think it’s clear why this is an easy spotlight. He simply cannot make a bad level, and The Other Side is no exception. But the beauty of this level that stands out above his others is the new skill-set your sack is given to complete well-crafted puzzles. Ledge gripping is just so sleek you have to play it to believe!Heavily inspired by limbo but by no means copied, Comphermc creates an incredible experience with unique gameplay, polished to perfection. From the tiny details such as head turns and increasing jump height slightly. Comphermc really turns this level into its own. Taking us out of our familiar comfort zone of the controls of lbp, which will know and love. Adding ledge climbing and ladder mechanics work flawlessly, as if they were built into the game. This is all set in a wonderful silhouette environment making this the easiest spotlight we had ever had to decide on. Anytime Comphermc releases a level in LittleBigPlanet it is a cause for celebration. Having blessed the masses with two previous mini-game style levels on lbpvita, he comes full force with a haunting platformer that will have you play as a little girl in a beautiful, but hazardous world. The Other Side is an ode to the game Limbo, and anyone who has played that will really enjoy this, I know I did.

In this single player mini game you are on a motorcycle being chased by the police and have to avoid the road blocks, and also on coming traffic. Evade the police as long as possible. If you crash it's game over! This is a retro racer type game.

Take a ride down a busy highway as epicness comes at you from every angle. This is what exactly I was thinking when I was playing this awesome level of epicness! This level will come at you with everything from cop cars too helicopters in this exciting beautiful level of amazement. Who ever likes karting should definitely play this epic police chase today!Uh oh, it's the Cops! What did you do anyways, steal a cookie out of Hubbies secret stash? You should've known better! Anyways, that being said, better step on the Gas and get away as fast as you can. Be warned though, obsticles have been set up to stop you in your tracks.

In Uprising the only thing you will want to do is scream ima firing my rockets, then hit the person in fount of you with your epic army vehicle. I absolutely loved this level for every inch of racing down this Middle Eastern city. the whole atmosphere was amazing as you traveled around its beauty and wonders. I would suggest playing this level right now! it's super fun.Everyone knows that I love a level with amazing scenery, and this level definitely has amazing design. Even the Karts are designed to look like Army Vehicles. All you gotta do is outrace your opponents, don't forget to pick up guns to replenish your arsenal.

Thanks for those great reviews and picking my levels for the spotlight Reading the reviews you guys write for spotlights is always fun.

I took a long break from creating and LBP for a while there and glad i returned I honestly wasn't expecting my Aliens level to gain so much attention as i thought it would only gather a specific audience like most shooters do on LBP.
Stay truned as i have more vita levels in production including the second part to Aliens.

I will try to find time to play some of the other levels spotlighted as they all look good. I have even downloaded LBP Karting for free on PS Plus so may give it a go and test those karting spotlights.

Thanks for spotligthing my Uprising! level, I'm really glad you guys enjoyed it! Congrats to all the other spotlights too, especially cdub017, top, top guy and some well deserved mentions for his awesome work!

But... how come viewing it from the front page only shows LBP2 on PS3 picks? Perhaps you could put the hyperlinks for the Vita and Karting picks at the bottom of the original PS3 picks section so that they can be easily viewed when clicking from the front page link (if not possibly to link to the entire thread, only main topic)

Keep up the stella work guys!

Congratulations on every spotlighted levels. The replacement disc lens part for my PS3 should arrive this week, so I can finally catch up with the spotlighted levels on both LBP2 and LBPK. Gotta play the LBPV ones, too.2013-08-05 19:38:00
