Music Import

Archive: 14 posts

I think that you should be able to import your music to LBP and then be able to play it at levels, the good grief menu could help control bad songs, or the makers could put in an automatic profanity coverer. This would make levels funner to play I think because you would be able to show people what your like. Plus some of the songs are kind of dumb on there and not all of them fit levels someone makes.2009-01-27 21:34:00

Never going to happen with copyright laws and such, but if we lived in pretend land, this would be a must in the game.2009-01-27 21:48:00

never gunna happen...
say i imported a song onto my level, EG. Metallica, it wouldnt work because others who play your level would have to have the EXACT copy of the song on there ps3 which means only people with that copy can hear it because in level songs are stored on the disc but the out of game songs are not...
it would be a good idea and if they didnt have to have the song it would have to add a minute to loading the level so that the song is able to play

Wouldn't work online. Besides, does anyone even USE the Good Grief menu? (personally, I haven't really seen any levels needing it)2009-02-02 12:16:00

Nope not gonna happen... I mean it would be kinda cool, except for the impending copyright lawsuits, and taking six mins. to load a levels...

personally Im a pretty big fan of the music the Mm put into the game, although I would love to see more options comeing out soon.

and yea ive never good griefed anything.. but the first time I see a penis level Ill be all over it... wait... you know good griefing it, or whatever... nevermind...

anyway yea just remember if you ever step on my patch, Ill bring you down... bring you down!

Couldn't possibly happen but they should let you listen to your own music, or any music, while creating.2009-02-02 23:23:00

Yeah, it would be great but it's technically and juridically a huge problem.

Don't count on it .

Seeing as it won't ever happen it would be good to see some extra music tracks and sound effects made available as DLC.2009-02-13 12:15:00

How about a "Little Big Planet Music Creator" that you can download free (maybe for a SMALL price) on your PC. Like a mini music maker where you have different sounds etc... Then, maybe after you're done it'll make it into a Little Big Planet friendly file that you can then put onto your storage device, plug into your machine and import it in-game.2009-02-16 10:50:00

Just what i was thinking..... that Ambient white noise in create mode completely destroys my head. But u still need to hear the noise prompts to tell if gluing/applying settings etc actually worked.

Even though sony updated ps3 software to be able to play music in games... the only game that uses it well is Wipeout HD.
