My project: VR Survival

Okay, this is both my first project and my first level with an actual plan or idea to it. I've created quite a bit but i'm getting a bit stuck for ideas, this post will identify what i've done and i'll try get pictures if its possible to get them from LBP onto a memory stick.

The level

It's basically a horizontal(?) survival level i've been working on. The way it works is that there is an emitter making Red VR platforms which go along a set of 50-70 motor bolts, sort of similar to the discombobulator (story level) conveyer but my one contains absolute no gaps between each platform, so it looks like one long path.

As the time goes on, both the motor bolts increase in speed (currently up to 45) over a period of 200 seconds, as the time goes on obstacles are added into the level in the forms of emitted objects.

The obstacles

So far the obstacles I have are..

3 emitters at the top left (out of view) shooting one plasma ball each every 6-12 secs (they are activated via a spinning glass disk with a key button on it)
A laser cannon (which i'm very pleased with ). This is run on a 20-30 second timer once activated and will continuously go on throughout the rest of the level. It involves a very large mini spotlight(?) which is always being moved left and right slowly by a piston. When the timer reaches towards the bottom, the light will go on with a metal gear rex sound to warn you, then both the squeaky metal sound is played along with a emitter that shoots plasma balls every 0.1 sec until the timers reset.
After playing with the cannon, I realised its quite similar in how the Metal Gear Rex bomb laser thingy works incase your a bit confused!
Basic electric semi-circular objects which go along the path, tagged with electricty
Over time, 2 sets of 2 electric rectangular blocks are slowly lowered onto the far right side of the screen, reducing the playing area thus increasing difficulty. This is clearly warned by a Bikkuri(!) Alert sound and lights flashing on the background. Other things such as score bubbles can pass underneath, players can't.


Other stuff

When you enter the level, there is an Otacon Codec with the basic instructions and the codec ringtone sound to go with it.
Hitting the switch moves the switch and start line away and starts playing the VR music along with the VR start sound
After pressing the button, players have move onto the red platform, else a series of electric/non electric piston controlled rectangles come down and completely cover the starting area leaving only the platform to walk on
Lots of sounds are played where accordingly


What I need

Feedback on my ideas!
Suggestions for obstacles (I dont' have so much of a building space above the playing area due to the laser cannon light (its very huge!!))
Requests, depending if you want pictures or something else
