Sackbots camera not working when using multiple sackbots

Archive: 5 posts

I'm trying to set things up so the player can switch between 2 sackbots using the standard method of a DCS on a piece of Holo with a follower etc.

Everything works fine except for the fact that i no longer get the game camera following each sackbot. I can hop into the Main DCS and successfully switch between the 2 SB's. I've narrowed the cause down to the Tag Sensors I'm using to pass the signal to the Selector to identify which sackbot is active.

On each controllable SB's circuit board i have a Tag Sensor (inverted) connected to the Eject port on the DCS. The coresponding Tags are on the Main DCS board connected to the Selector.

Everything will work fine if i delete these Tag Sensors. I of course lose the ability to switch SB's but it identifies that these Tag Sensors are the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi SirGreenDay. Place the game camera on the actual players following controllinator. (although I'd need to see it, to know exactly your setup).
This way the camera will be viewing where the player is, not the sackbot, so as the player follows to the new sackbot, so will the game camera's view.
This might be what your looking for my friend.

The whole idea of having the controllable sackbots DCS following them on a piece of Holo material is so you don't have to use additional game cameras. Why does it work fine when i remove the Tag Sensor sending the signal to the Selector switch? I'm just not the great at the logic stuff.

If anyone is willing to jump in and take a look I'd appreciate it. I cant find my headset , but we can chat. Thanks!

hmm interesting, why this doesn't work. do the signals get crossed or mis named?

Is the sensor and tag on the same chip?
