I have a friend (not saying who it is) whom I want to report. Here's the backstory: A month ago, I was playing with him, and he turned on his mic. I needed some peace and quiet, so I muted his mic. He then overreacted about me muting his mic, so he annoyed me to the point that I deleted him. He really wanted to add me back, saying that he would be a good friend, so I did. Two weeks later, the same event happened. I deleted him, then later added him back. Earlier today, the same thing happened again, and I deleted him. He was still in the party when he threatened to have his friend (I don't know who) hack my account if I didn't add him back. Logically, I added him back...for now. I don't want to block him yet, because that would remove him from my friends list, and then his friend would hack my account. I want to report him for harassment, and for threatening to have someone hack my account because I deleted him for "no reason". I told him this, and he denied that he was harassing me, saying that harassment meant "trying to get someone to do something which they don't want to do". I then contradicted him, using his own definition, to prove that he was harassing me: "He was trying to get me to listen to his mic, which I didn't want to do." My question is: Is there a way to report someone for harassment? I'd like to do this so that I can delete him without my account being hacked, and to prevent this from happening to anyone else who might add him.

However, if it really is bothering you I think there is a report option if you press triangle over their name on your friends list. If not, if you go the official playstation forums and PM a mod they can pass the information onto the PSN moderation team.

It's all talk and no action... I'd say go ahead and block them. However, if it really is bothering you I think there is a report option if you press triangle over their name on your friends list. If not, if you go the official playstation forums and PM a mod they can pass the information onto the PSN moderation team. Alright, I think I'll just block him. If worst comes to worst (ie: my account is hacked), I'll just make another account and start fresh from there, reporting him via the official Playstation forums.

No way to report someone for simply being annoying. You'll find plenty more throughout life. Just have to learn to dodge them. I usually have my profile set to auto reject for everyone not on my list and set to ask me if they are on my list. That way I can play afk or mia if they are really annoying or simply just don't feel like company at that time. Actually, I generally I send a message before just inviting myself unless I know them quite well and they are expecting me.

Some people just think that if they act though and threaten to hack others they'll just get what they want all the time. I would ignore their threats however if the threat was made via message you can report. Other than that you won't be able to do anything except what Dav1d0 said and go to the official PlayStation forums and don't forget to block the people in question.

God, no need to report someone for this. Just delete him, block him, and move on. "My friend will hack your account" is a empty threat. Change your password if you want but there's literally nothing more you need to do.

Although I am not a mod, I am very familiar with reporting people from the PSN. Although they aren't going to hack, threatening to hack is still bad. What I do is that I log on to the PSN using my computer, and report them there. I'm not sure if you have to be 18 or older to this. Is it a PM he made the threat, or is it online chat?

Invite him over for a chat and then tell him you're going to block him. When he threatens to hack you again, report a "Good Grief!" report. Then block his fluffy knit rump.
