Level Link http://lbp.me/v/mh3py1 Hey all here is a level i started building many many months ago when animations were new and so silhouette levels were hard to come by. Unfortunately due to many problems and constant profile corruptions i have lost much work on this over the months so this is only part 1 and the chances that part 2 will ever be finished is now unlikely which is very disapointing. Because of the profile corruption it has taken me two months to finally get this published since i finished making it. One issue is that when i publish anything now the levels become corrupt but luckily it has published fine this time. When paying there doesn't seem to be any issues though. Anyway about the level, its an epic hack and slash adventure that follows the story of Warblade a warrior who must face the darkness of an invading army and the underworld. There are many enemies and secrets to find througout the level and as you level up you gain stickers you can use if you want to replay. It is this level that i based my Battle Arena on and uses a lot of the same themes and controls. I want to thank everyone who has helped with this level over the months especially Shade_Seeker and the Little Big Engineers team. Also i want to thank Biorogue for all his hep testing and want to say sorry for not adding him to the credits. To see the full list of credits just select the option in the main menu for a very fancy showcase scene. Loading times may be very long but i hope you find it worthwhile also it may be worth playing this level after a fresh restart just incase it freezes your PS3 as there is a lot cramped into the level. There is a very good chance this will be my last level ever on LBP2. Here are some pics. Unfortunately i cannot add them to the level as it wont republish when i add them. http://lbp.me/v/mh3py1 | 2013-07-18 10:14:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
Warrior, army, secrets, battle? I'm sold! Queued for sure! | 2013-07-18 10:53:00 Author: Jauw Posts: 484 |
Queued. I'm extremely excited to play this... | 2013-07-18 11:52:00 Author: Radio447 Posts: 159 |
Just played this level, and I must say... I don't know where to start!? (I didn't have enough room for a long review in LBP, but I will write as much as possible here) This level was incredible! I loved the storyline and the visuals! The silhouette was well made, and the combat system was just a pure jar of awesomesauce! The different enemies throughout the level was fun and I really enjoyed picking up, health points, secrets, and especially leveling up! The sound effects gave the level a very nice atmosphere along with the beautiful scenery and the moving background was a nice visual touch. The combat system worked incredible well, and I enjoyed watching out for the little icon to pop up over the heads of the enemies, as they were about to attack me. The health and level system also worked very well. The XP bar only increased when you were on a killing-spree, and I found that quite challenging. Though I leveled up quite fast! The ladder climbing was a very nice touch and I enjoyed tearing down rocks and what-not to proceed. The different bosses were just awesome! Especially Medusa! I really liked the challenge of NOT getting hit by her deadly beam. Otherwise I was incapable of moving until I destroyed the curse by moving my analog from left to right very fast! The little creatures that kept attacking me was quite annoying and I can imagine that it was your intention? Amazing attention to detail in this incredible level by LordWarBlade! I really liked the story as well, I will definitely stay tuned for part 2! -- Jauw Also; RIght after I completed the level, the level automatically returned to pod (as usual) but there was some data loading problems, so I had to clean my pod. I did so. But my PS3 froze right after. I don't know if I'm the only one? A good idea is to restart LBP right before you play this awesome level. IT'S WORTH IT! | 2013-07-18 12:56:00 Author: Jauw Posts: 484 |
Wow thanks for the great and detailed review Jauw i am so glad it was actually playable and you enjoyed it though i am sorry that it may have froze you PS3. I guess maybe my profile issues have really messed this level up. I am glad you realised the icons above enemies heads meant they were about to attack i was concerned that was not very obviouse. I tried to add as many enemy types as i could to this level just incase my profile prevents me making a second part. Though i could always publish the second part using another profile. Thanks again for the review | 2013-07-18 13:11:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
oh man, I can't believe it's finally here! queued | 2013-07-18 15:27:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
My PS3 feels like she is on her last legs, so I do worry about hitting play...but this looks and sounds like it may just be worth buying a new PS3 for. | 2013-07-18 19:46:00 Author: peoriaspitfire Posts: 359 |
ohh!! ****!!! this looks better than my RPG Hack'n'Slash, I'll definitely play yours as I have a lot of respect towards these levels!!! Yours is more silhouette while mine actually focuses on the detail and visual designs as you can see by my picture XD | 2013-07-18 20:01:00 Author: Rixsch Posts: 239 |
Thanks Rixsch i went for the silhouette look mainly for animation reasons and it allowed me to fit more into the level. Yours looks great and i shall test it at some point as that picture has impressed me. | 2013-07-18 20:55:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
Its in my queued. The lvl sounds really great and funny. I play it later when Im online | 2013-07-18 23:19:00 Author: Sandro8708 Posts: 625 |
Hm... I had some problems to launch the level. I tried it several times but I always had an "unable to load" failure. Does anybody else have this problem? I'll give it another try later. | 2013-07-19 13:24:00 Author: avundcv Posts: 2526 |
Yeah that is one of the issues i have with everything i do using my profile. The fact the level has issues is very annoying. This is why i may not make anything new in LBP2. I am going to move to the vita instead. | 2013-07-19 14:09:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |

As for mine, I'm still doing some tweaks and stuff, and by tweaks the Updates to better fix mistakes and bugs XD When you try it, it should definitely be at 100% complete. | 2013-07-20 00:01:00 Author: Rixsch Posts: 239 |
Okay, I just finished playing this, and I just got a new keyboard. Time to let loose. This was one of the greatest levels I have ever played in the history of LBP. The sheer scope of it is amazing. The very emitter system that makes you able to fit so much into one level is a logical achievement in itself, let alone the logic in the stuff they were emitting. The whole silhouette style was a smart choice from the get-go as, not only letting you fit more stuff in, it added to the whole "fantasy" feel of the level. As for the gameplay-brilliant. The numerous moves all felt smooth and could work together perfectly, and combat didn't feel sluggish or unintuitive. Now for some complaints. The combat was a bit on the easy side. I only died once in my four times playing it to get to level 5 from combat. All the other times were from falling into lava. Personally, I think you should just bounce off the lava and take damage Mario 64 style instead of dying instantly. Secondly, after the dragon breathes fire onto the prisoner, killing him, if you die, you get stuck. You can fall into the lava, and since the checkpoint is between two fire walls there is no way out and you have to restart the level. I think you should make it so that the dragon who burns the prisoner should only do so for a few seconds. But yeah, simply amazing level. Like biorouge, my jaw also hurts. | 2013-07-21 15:07:00 Author: Kalawishis Posts: 928 |
Thanks Kalawishis I didn't relise it was easy to get stuck at the part with the prisoner. I can fix it easily by adding tags that stop the fire if you are on the wrong side. The only issue may be republishing with an update as i tried republishing with a fix for end boss where if you land in the lava as you jump down you don't respawn at all. Unfortunately it failed to publish 6 times till i gave up. I did consider making combat harder but i was afraid that many players would get fed up from dying too much especially with the long loading times. It was a hard choice to make really but overall i thought it would be best to keep it relatively easy so people could enjoy the experience more than a challenge. Didn't think off mario style bouncing out of lava, would have been good. | 2013-07-21 19:08:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |
Played this today, was the top score when I left it. Would have gotten to level 5, but I kept failing on my last run through This level is fantastic, it looks gorgeous, plays great, and has an interesting story to boot. I'd actually probably still be playing it if I didn't have to get up for work in the morning I sincerely hope you find a way to publish part 2, as I would love to play and see more. | 2013-07-23 06:38:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |
Thanks Burnvictim42 I am glad to hear people are enjoying replaying it despite the loading times. I am trying to salvage what i can from part two but i did loose almost everything i made including a load of things from part 1 that are emitted. I do still want to finish it but first i have to tr to fix my profile yet again. Also i cannot believe that i forgot to update the credits with Biorogue's name as he was a great help at finding flaws and testing things. I cannot update the level yet so will add his name on this thread for now. I do hope there was no one else i forgot to add. | 2013-07-23 10:06:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |

Once in the middle of a James Bond movie, and another time in the middle of a Halloween level. I really hope you can finish this. | 2013-07-23 12:55:00 Author: Kalawishis Posts: 928 |
Profile corruptions absolutely suck. Happened to one of my friends. Twice. Once in the middle of a James Bond movie, and another time in the middle of a Halloween level. I really hope you can finish this. it happens sometimes to everybody, you just have to be careful, I always save my levels on a Back-up file, besides that, his level is really great from what it has, I bet if he had 100% of it, it would be superb, only thing that sucks is that this Community only plays other levels or former MM Picked guys who get MM Picked again for a 2nd or 3rd time, no one really cares too much to look at our levels, me and Warblade are the underated creators of LBP. | 2013-07-23 18:43:00 Author: Rixsch Posts: 239 |
This is in my queued and I have to say by the looks of the level it seems like my heart just failed or something. I went to your LBP.me page and saw only forty plays yet the look of the level seemed like it would be something you'd see it MM picks. Gosh, the community cant seem to find the good levels when they need them. I cant wait to try this, and good luck to your level. | 2013-07-23 20:24:00 Author: Caliboy4599 Posts: 67 |
wow, I was completely and utterly blown away by this. The story, the visuals..my goodness, the visuals! Holy cow, there is so much to look at that you often get distracted by everything that is going on around you. The background animations, the baddies, the platform pieces, everything is just meticulously made. Then comes the gameplay and it. is. awesome! To those who have not played this yet, I urge you to do so. It may take a long time to load and may even fail to load the first time, but trust me, it is completely worth it. Play this level! https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-OR6fTeI8EDw/TySWVJINsPI/AAAAAAAABR4/aSEUWR2RrpU/s413/APPROVED.jpg | 2013-07-23 20:53:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
Noooooooo, why do these awesome levels get transferred to the Cool Pages, back then, it took my Plant Life! level like 300-500 views to get into the Cool Levels Thread, now that your level and mine are in here, we're dead. Hardly anyone takes a look at the Cool Levels thread, they should just leave our levels on the normal thread until we get like 400 views. This blows. No wonder we get so little plays and all the other lame-azz levels that don't even get advertised on this website blow-up with like 1000 or more plays in 1 day. Warblade, are you with me on this? | 2013-07-25 22:53:00 Author: Rixsch Posts: 239 |

I think you should make it so that the dragon who burns the prisoner should only do so for a few seconds... The same thing happened to me and I had to quit. I was so sad too, because this was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had playing LBP. Thanks again for taking the time to make this and for continuing to press on despite all your profile corruption issues. I truly appreciate the art you?ve created and rank this as one of my favorite LBP Level?s in the past half-decade! | 2013-07-25 23:06:00 Author: peoriaspitfire Posts: 359 |
