Level name: A Hero's Duty

This is my first "real" level. I have always made music levels, but I'm getting bored with them and I decided to make a real level with gameplay. Please, let me know what you think about it. I will try one of your levels if you want and give you feedback too.

Okay, here we go.

Just a couple helpful things up front (I noticed you're a new user)

1. There is a site rule for "no double posting". You probably want to remove your 2nd message that says "No love here?" or you will get a warning from the moderators. You can edit your first message and put it in there if you'd like.
2. There's a program called "feedback4feedback". It's easier to get comments on your level if you mark it with this (mainly it means if someone gives you feedback you will play their level and give feedback). Not that everyone isn't giving, but a lot of people on this site are authors and they have their heads buried in their games, so it helps to give a bit of motivation. I personally just give everyone feedback I can.

Okay, now for the review:

This is a well-designed level. You have a lot of play mechanics here.

PROS:
I enjoyed the dragon section. It was challenging, but yet fair.
Nice visual style.
I really liked the way different parts of the game had a completely different look. Many levels keep the same look all the way through, but the way you went from home, across the water, the castle, and so on was really nice. Kept it fresh all the way through the game
I liked the little puzzle with the wall and the target where you blow up the wall in the end
The monster chase was done well
I liked the added replay value by giving a sticker at the end of the game to make it into a race.

CONS:
There were some sloppy edges I noticed that could use a little cleaning up (such as on the castle walls)
Getting on the boat was a tad confusing. You pick up a paintinator, then immediately on the right of the boat is a piece of sponge for moving forward with no clue what to do. I actually stood there for about 8 seconds thinking I was supposed to shoot something. One thing that might help is displaying the grab handle on the sponge on the boat. The only reason this is an issue is because you pick up the paintinator so close to the sponge.

All in all this was a well-done game. I really enjoyed it! Nice work. I gave it a 4-out-of-5 stars.

You don't have to (since you're not taking part in feedback-for-feedback), but you should at least check out my game "Splat Invaders Saga". You may enjoy it!

Ideas going through my head

- Nice intro, and the music? Wtf what song is this? Lol...

- Ah, a sticker switch, good for replayability. Good job.

- Magnificent work on detail, I really like how you can tell that it's a beach. Lol, good job for that.

Positive

- Omg amazing dragon, good stuff here. I really like the design.

- Haha, I loved how the arrow people just got wrecked by the spinning blade of fury, gave me a chuckle since they couldn't do anything to me. Lmao...

- Awesome use of the paintanator.

- I dunno what it is about the level, but it actually has that feeling that your on top of a castle, maybe it has to do with sackboy being so small, and your use of the camera zooming out to make the castle even bigger. Or maybe it's just me...

- Haha, rocks falling, nice touch.

- Omg, the use of explosives and the paintanator at the section with the crushing blade or whatever. That was awesome, and it gave me a small jump because I thought I was going to blow up...

- Omg the chase scene was AWESOME.

- Lol, the perfect way for someone to play your level, is to show them what they would of gotten if they found it, and I want that sir... So you have done an awesome job. Lmao.

Suggestions/Feedback

- Hmm, I don't like the fact that the paintanator is behind the "grabbable" switch. I would switch their sides, simply because it's easier to drive the boat without constantly pressing the circle button. But that's just a small suggestion, it can be ignored, it's not all that hard to press circle.

- I've died a few times when I would die by the dragon, then spawn and die again, might want to do something about this, maybe add a little wall infront of the checkpoint to block the plasma balls?

Overall

I don't have that many suggestions, which is a good thing because I didn't see that many problems, it was a great level, the atmosphere was awesome, the way you implemented the paintanator. Everything about the level was simply amazing, 5 stars and hearted. Good work!
