Hi guys, not too sure if you know that popcap game called bookworm adventure? well I'm trying to create that, I have the logic almost done. here the lbp.me link http://lbp.me/v/b5ts3b (the level is locked) the main aim of the game is to defeat the enemies by spelling words from 16 random letters, like anagram. The longer the words the more damage you can make. I'm giving up on finishing this level due to the current situation on lbp2 and the scarce amount of feedback I received on my level so, I decided to post my idea here....hopefully someone will assist me to finish it. this is the kind of gameplay I'm trying to achieve on lbp2. http://www.wikinoticia.com/images2//ecetia.com/files/2011/06/bookworm-adventures-2-20090727000458356_640w.jpg Thanks

I'm interested to know how you intend to store a dictionary of correct words? Does it run through each letter the player entered and only proceed if the next letter is a valid entry? That's the only feasible way I can imagine but it would be hell to make.

I was thinking to tag each letter,like tag "A", "B" etc. Then as soon as there are at least three letter set, the dictionary will start. Its going to be like a big microchip that contains all the letter tags. I do know its going to be quite big but if people would like it to play, I'm more than happy to put the whole English vocabulary on it (all yea those 20000+ words)

Seems like an interesting idea. Will it show as right if we guessed the letter at the right place and order? yep that would be part of the logic. The character in the screenshot is Lex and it actually say something to the word that you made for example: 3 letter words he says "great" 5 letter words he says "excellent" 9 up letter words he says "astonishing" and so on.The attack pattern to the enemy will change too accordingly. And also the attack button will light up that will mean that the word spelled is correct.
