Attack-Sack!

Hello, I found this page interesting and thought I would post my own tutorial

So.. I will show you how to create a sackbot that attacks other sackbots and/or objects (why not players? because it is involved in the sackbot's main.. lets say, logic). If you would take the time to read this, it might help you out a little.

1) Go to the sackbot's main logic/ settings page

2) Look at players- Yes, Look at tag instead- Yes

3) Choose a tag color that matches the tag color of the thing you want the sackbot to attack

4) Can use Creatinator- Yes

5) Now, open the sackbot's logic chip

6) Add another behavior chip to the sackbot

7) Add a tag sensor to the sackbot ( Set the tag sensor color to the color of the thing you want the sackbot to attack)

8) Set the extra behavior chip to "Act", and when the time comes to act, press R1 once and end the acting scenario.

9) Hook up the tag sensor to the behavior chip

10) Equip your sackbot with a Creatinator by dropping it on top of a Creatinator giving tool.

11) Your sackbot will now attack the object and/or enemy sackbot with the correct tag when it enters the tag's area of detection.

12) Your sackbot should now attack it. If you want your sackbot do do something else than sit there and wait for the tag to enter its general area, tweak the sackbot's main behavior chip to Follow or Patrol, or whatever you want.

Sounds like an interesting take. Very sweet. But how would I make it so that the attacking sackbot takes damage (from let's say... water like in Eve's Asylum)?2013-07-22 21:05:00

There's a sensor that senses when something is hit by water, fire etc. Just plug that into a counter and then plug the counter to a destroyer.
