Hey Karting Community! I had some time to play some LittleBigPlanet Karting yesterday with some people and I had a lot of fun. I recalled when I went to get the game for a cheaper price on Black Friday and that bizarre adventure I had with my family at 1 AM in the morning to shop. I remember playing it the next day and loved it, playing it to experience themes turned into a 3D experience plus new themes to explore. I also recall playing the Battle mode multiple times, like in the beta, and having a lot of fun with friends playing that mode repeatedly. I was wondering, as much as other LittleBigPlanet community members, why isn't there a contest segment for LittleBigPlanet Karting? We have seen contests for LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, and LittleBigPlanet Vita, but I would like to see what the community can do with the 3D opportunity in Karting as well as the battle/race mode feature. Do you guys think we should have a Karting contest? Perhaps making a certain themed track, area, something non-karting related or perhaps a Kart decorating contest?

I imagine it's a combination of many of the people creating for this game are new to LBP (I know I was!) and the editor generally being difficult to work with. Regardless, I don't see why a contest wouldn't exist. It'd be fun!

It doesn't seem like there's much support for this game from official channels (just look how often the team picks are updated, and they are the life and soul of the online experience!) but there are some unofficial challenges being created by members of the community. Recently, MagicalHamster ran the CINEMA challenge, of which there were only unfortunately half a dozen entries (but mostly excellent!) https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=80426-Project-Cinema-LBPK! Currently, OnePoppa is runnign a 'Myths & Legends' challenge, which has had a lot more interest. On his planet he has published a level containg for possible start points to choose from, designed by himself, puppethand666 and dsmmat. The idea is to choose one of these then create a level based around any sort of Myth or Legend you choose. Shuld be a very fun contest! Just to give some idea's OnePoppa is doing a track based around Yeti's, RADMANROB has chosen Bigfoot, puppethand666 has chosen 'Heaven & Hell' and I am doing Atlantis. The deadline is August 15th 2013, although there's nothing to stop you submitting after that date as this is just for fun after all! So what are you waiting for? Get involved!

Just PSN. I heart about it on PSN via Dsmmat. By the way i'm on it too. I hope my theme fits with myth & legends, i spoke about it in this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=80739-New-track-Greece-amp-mythologie). I already don't know wich starts i'm gonna use and i asked some advice My track won't surely be as amazing as the one of excellent creator like Onepoppa, Pupethand666, Radmanrob Dsmmat or Atheistsw, but i hope this would be great. So, i leave for holliday and come back august the 5th for finishing it. See you soon
