I can give you a hand with 2D stuff. If all your looking to do is animate then the logic is fairly straight forward. How far have you gotten? Have you created any assets yet? I can give you a few tips and tricks if you are interested in recreating old sprites or images. | 2013-07-11 16:03:00 Author: Wolfdre Posts: 218 |
The background is easy, just go to the lighting controls and change the colour of the fog. | 2013-07-11 16:07:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |
Hello, Thank you for the answer. I have create the asset using sticker panel, only changing the color (I want silhouette) and making the draw with the corner editor. I took it and make plenty of draws, like in the traditional animating style, and used a sequencer with batteries inside liking to the respective drawing. It worked, kind of... The problem with that is the time-consulming (make every drawing) and its really hard to fix the time of the animation, I would really love to make the transition very smooth. Is there any way for doing so? Regards. (Done alright with the silhouette). | 2013-07-11 21:30:00 Author: Unknown User |
How to make and entirely 2D level I'm still trying to figure out... | 2013-07-11 21:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
Of course making realistic sprites takes a lot of time & thermo. The 8-bit style is a nice way to fix this problems. If I were you, I wouldn't have used a sequencer for this... Timers and selectors are great to do that. You should take a look at this tutorial by O-TERA : http://vita.lbp.me/v/eredm | 2013-07-11 22:19:00 Author: Gwaeron Posts: 170 |
Outstanding tutorial! Really thank you for showing, it answers some question (but unfortunately not all). Like how to make a game playable only in 2D? And I'm with another doubt now. Is it possible to import JPG file into LBP without the need of taking photos (its put down the quality)? Regards. | 2013-07-11 22:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
A Movie camera with a flatness set to 5 will achieve the desired 2D effect. Gwaeron is also correct about selectors being the best way to cycle animations. They are also incredibly easy to integrate into control logic. | 2013-07-12 14:40:00 Author: Wolfdre Posts: 218 |
Thank you, it worked! But unfortunately I still have some (many) doubts that are on the official LBP vita forum (http://www.community.eu.playstation.com/t5/LittleBigPlanet-VITA-General/bd-p/bEN_LBPVita). May anyone help with this ones? Regards. | 2013-07-12 15:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
On it! Its good that your asking alot of questions. Decent way to understand some of the tips and tricks in LBP, but the best way is just to have an idea and try to bring it to life. Nothing beats hands on experience! | 2013-07-12 16:49:00 Author: Wolfdre Posts: 218 |
