I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer and enjoying the nice, and blazing hot , weather outside! Summer is also an amazing time of the year since the sweet LBP Summer Pack released for free again containing a whole bunch of sweet goodies to use for those awesome summer levels in LittleBigPlanet2 and LittleBigPlanet Vita! Best of all, the summer is also an amazing time to announce another Creation Marathon! http://i.imgur.com/cZnQe81.png This awesome Image is made by the fantasic Mnniska! To those who don't know what the Creation Marathon is, it's an event started by Grayspence, Tendon, Freezz-Ix and ZeusInTraining. Its when 4 teams of 4 will split into two bigger teams. The two bigger teams will each make a level, based on a Challenge/Theme given , and will be presented at the deadline - the best level wins! The twist? You only have 24 hours to create that level! The Creation Marathon had successfully hosted 2 Marathons and was working on a third one. Unfortunately, due to the short amount of people actually participating in the third Marathon, they had to cancel the event. To this day, Grayspence and I have been talking to bringing the 3rd Creation Marathon back this summer! The only problem is that we are not sure if there are people still interested in participating for this awesome event, so we are going to hold a survey to see how everything will stand out. We highly encourage you to share some feedback and opinions on this event with some questions you can answer by replying to this post below. The sooner we get more feedback or votes on re-summoning this project, the more we can kick everything into gear to make summer time in LittleBigPlanet even better than it is now! I would actually probably really like to take part in this. Especially if I didn't have work on that day. I really like the feel and inspiration create contests give you but am annoyed that they take me away from my other level projects for a long-ish time. So... this being only 24h is actually kinda perfect.

Could be a lot of fun to do it again Just need to know a date. There's nothing I dislike about the contest, just that its disappointing that some people are unreliable. To improve maybe have some incentive to win as I don't think there was a prize last time :/ but I have no idea what a prize could be.

Thank you for your feedback, Original Creator! A date is currently being decided, all I can tell you is that it won't be long from now, if we have enough participants. The prize idea does sound interesting since it is a competition after all, I'll make sure to bring it up to see what the other people in the team think. hyper Could be a lot of fun to do it again Just need to know a date. I hate having to build big levels to make it feel good enough so 24 Hours is great! 2. Do you think you will participate or know someone who will participate if the 3rd Creation Marathon kicks off? Oh yeah, I am dedicated to lbp2 and I know a few friends who are too. 3. If you have participated in or if you are a fan of the Creation Marathon, what do you think of the event as a whole? Wow. This just brightened up my day even more. First of all, I really am glad that you guys have the dedication to keep doing these, and if you can, please continue. I don't see why you ask these questions, the basic Q&A should be as followed: "Are you excited about the third create marathon?" Bob asked Billy. "YES!" said everybody. The second one was a gret experience, and it would be cool to bring more to the table then last time. As far as timing and schedule, I am going to be one of those cool kids and "check my schedule.."... ..everything seems to ve okee-dookie. Count me in!

Are you excited to see Creation Marathon 3 get re-announced? I never heard of this before, but it sounds like a cool idea. 2. Do you think you will participate or know someone who will participate if the 3rd Creation Marathon kicks off? if you choose a saturday or a sunday, i would like to enter. but are you just taking two teams ?. im a bit confused on how this the teams are formed. i just think the concept of a rush concept between a bunch of players would be cool. this way everyone will be working with the same amount of time. 3. If you have participated in or if you are a fan of the Creation Marathon, what do you think of the event as a whole? 4. What type of Challenges/Themes you would like to see in the next Creation Marathon? well since i feel like the contest crew has been aiming way to high in their requests in themes, and seeing very little entries, i suggest go simpler. I think youll grab more attention if you stick to basic platforming that is just story based and funny in a way , youll find yourself with many people trying to get in this event. and of course if you can offer crowns. people would try harder. original themes are cool but it only makes the people throwing the contest look cool. so everyone is not like how the helll ar we suppose to do that?? .... anyway i got side tracked. keep it more basic is my suggestion, if you fear no one will enter. 5. Is there anything you want changed, dislike/like, or problems you want to see fixed in the future of the Creation Marathon? maybe pick two team captains? and ,ask these other creators to comment on the expertise putting them into a skill genre, so maybe a team captain will select the players he feels is best for his or her team.

However, the first one had 4 teams of 4 I believe. It all depends on how many participants we get. Everything is chosen randomly, since it enhances the value of the Create Marathon and working with new players under time pressure is a nice component to add to the twist. If we get more participants than we thought, then we might have to extend the amount of people who can enter until we get to a point where overflow emerges. Regarding Chosen Teams: A huge part of the create marathon when we started it was to unite the community to make something great in a short time period. It's not about your speed or productivity while creating, it's about having fun and getting to know your fellow community members while working towards a common goal. Friends you already know are certainly fun to create with, but we feel as if randomized teams (To an extent, we'll get into how things work soon) are part of the marathon experience, and that they should be retained in all marathons to keep it fun, exciting, and fresh. Regarding Team Layout/How things are going to work: Okay, so it's a bit confusing at first, and depending on the amount of expected participants, this may change, but I'll try to communicate as best I can. I'll be using the last create marathon's layout as an example. There are two "Teams" that each create their own level for the create marathon in 24 hours. Within each "Team" there are 3 groups of four participants that will work to create the level. Each group is comprised of four participants. Each group has two four hour shifts to create their segments of the level. and of course, shift times will vary depending on your group number. You will be told at what times you must be on with your group for your shifts, so you have to do as little schedule work as possible. When your group's 4-hour time period for the aforementioned shift is over, you must save the level as is, and send it over to the next group via Key, or other means of level transfer so they can begin creating for their shift. (You will be instructed on how to do this before the event starts) The host of your group's shifts (and therefor the person who has the level on their moon) is called the "Group leader". They are usually the people who signed up specifically to BE a group leader, as they feel they have a stable internet connection, are skilled in time management, and know how to quickly pass the level on to the next group. Yep. There are restrictions on most DLC, purely because the level needs to be transferred to the next group, and if they don't have the DLC, they can't open the level.
