Ok, so with the upcoming release of the ps4 I'm kind of wondering what going to happen to the ps3. As most of you already know it looks like there's going to be a network charge on the ps4. I'm assuming its going to be basically the same network as we currently have on the ps3 with maybe increased security or something, who knows? So what I'm wondering is: will the network charge apply to the ps3? As someone who has not pre ordered the ps4 or Xbox one I really hope I'm not going to be charged to play my ps3 online. I probably won't be getting a next gen console unless I see some really cool beans games that I would like come out for the next gens. Ill prob end up just sticking to lbp for the ps3 . So does anyone know anything about this? Thanks XD

absolutely not. it only applys to ps4. ps3 and vita remain free. and theres a free version of online on ps4 without multiplayer stuff like cod and battlefield and games like those... (it has been confirmed that not every game needs ps+ for online)

Takes one guys unofficial view, changes mind. Seems legit. FINE THEN BUDDY ILL CHANGE MY MIND NOW I THINK WE WILL BE CHARGED FOR PS3 HAPPY NOW??? Idk I thought he said it had been confirmed but I just mis read it. Any other opinions? I personally think that we will be charged.

the pay for online only applys to ps4. after the ps4 launches nothing will happen to the ps3 or vita. and the ps3 will be supported for a few more years. and any ps+ subscription carrys over to ps4. the online multiplayer part in that screen only applys to ps4. everything else on the list is for ps3 and vita.
