Different from the others, you (and up to three pals) are running away from the basil-craving Esmerelda, whose form is cloaked in black and whose regurgitations can be collected for points. Are you a bad enough dude to follow the World Eater herself for petty victory? Furthermore, the level's extremely fun and we believe it's MM-Pickable. bonner123 did the visuals and Giant_Robot77 made the music; I merely came up with the prototype of the Esmerelda creature and some gameplay doohickies. http://lbp.me/v/mc9fkh

In the interest of being a bit more honest than SLS, no this level does not deserve a pick (even though it is better than a few) or even a spotlight, really. What I will say is that it is an extremely fun level to play multiplayer (preferably with larger parties) with very good presentation (especially for a level made in ~4 hours). The level is basic, but there's plenty of strategy involved unlike several repetitive minigames heralded as brilliant. Additionally, there's no bloat like in some "games" that make it to the picks, so replaying it is actually encouraged. So, gather your friends and learn the art of human sacrifice. What's funny about my friend's post here is that it is entirely and exactly incorrect. This minigame was in the making for several months, all of us laboring intensively day-in and day-out to perfect its subtle gameplay elements and in-depth achievement system that totally doesn't bog down the level. This is the heralding of a new dawn, a new future for LBP: esports. As this was made to be competitve and broadcast Korea-wide, balance took precedent before enjoyment and this focus spurred the removal of both "fun" things and gameplay features considered unfair to either the player(s) or Esmerelda. Sure, it ain't much for looking - except for the beautifully-sculpted scoreboard area - but graphics don't matter when the prize is on the line. Several builds are splayed out before you, allowing you to choose between a small range of strategy, like "bribe Esmerelda beforehand by playing a different combat arena" or "stand absolutely still". Ever-proactive, our dev team feels that these tactics may be imbalanced. Expect the recent patch to weaken these strategies. Despite its competitive aspect, the level supports single-player, allowing progamers to hone their techniques solo before qualifying for MLG. Speaking of which, tune in this Tuesday for [EG]Squid versus [SLS]Ten - the bitter rivalry of dashing intelligence versus irresistible charisma continues!
