Karts following a specific path

Ok, so I have this cool idea for a racing level, but I need every kart, including the players, to follow a specific track in a specific kart, while still being able to accelerate and brake as normal. Any ideas?

Edit: a good example of a use for this type of thing would be creating a slot car racetrack.

I don't know exactly what you want to do. But you can try with this tool 46086 on the AI spawn point and change the parameter on auto pilot but allow to go forward and backwards and forbbid to go right or left. But the Kart ill stay on the road.

The other possibility would be creating a path with a follower motor and linking the motor to a kart on a spawn point, but i don't know if it is possible.

This has me curious since a level on Don Doubtworthy's planet more or less does the same thing. I've run some experiments and while I can get the camera to lock appropriately, getting the kart to turn with the camera is tricky.2013-07-05 19:16:00
