The Magician's Platformer

Hey guys- I recently updated my new platformer- 'The Magician's Platformer'

It's a challenging little Platformer that involves a bit of the grappling hook but mainly just has Sack Thing platforming alone. It's based around the classic theme from LBP1, 'The Temples'. It involves magical, physical, and elephant properties. (That made sense... right?) If you'd add it to your queue and check it out, it'd totally help. Feedback is welcome- sugarcoated or not, and every bit of advice helps. A very appealing picture in my signature will magically whisk you to the lbp.me page if you're interested in queuing this new level.

(EDIT): Revised as of 7/02
-Added new 'Magical/Magician' feature(s)
-Hid some obvious logic
-Uhm... Turtles.

Thanks in advance, fellow Sack Things.

I have it queued. I quite enjoyed DaVinci's Peregrination, so I expect I shall enjoy this one as well.2013-07-01 13:59:00

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the other one- That's what I'm striving for

I'm not exactly an extremely popular creator, so any positive feedback really makes me blush :3

Played this level today, and from the very beginning I was struck by how similar it felt to a level from The Temples. You've matched the theme wonderfully, and I was half expecting The Magician to pop down at any moment. I was ultimately a bit disappointed that he didn't actually, and I think the level didn't have as much character because of this. Additionally, while the material usage made the level look nice, it felt like it could use a little more oomph in some places. I found the lack of (many) stickers and decorations a bit of an odd choice, as those also add a lot of flavor to a level and are a bit of a hallmark of the story levels.

These are also a few minor tweaks you may want to consider:
-At the first switch to raise 3 platforms, it was hard to pull the switch horizontally because of the limited space. You may want to consider attaching the switch vertically, or adding more room for the player to pull the switch easily.
-In the middle of the level, there are some platforms that pop up out of the fire, leaving holes in the fire where they once were. You may want to consider covering the holes up in some manner, or pushing the platforms out of the wall instead, for a cleaner look.
-After swinging across the first elephant, and crossing the bridge that appears with the button, there is a visible gravity tweaker you may want to hide.

Overall, the level was quite enjoyable, the platforming was well done, and this is a great take on a LBP1 theme transitioned into LBP2's toolset. However, the level itself felt like it could just use a little something extra to push it from being a rather good one to being a truly great one. Thanks for the level, and let me know if you need anything else

Alright radio, I would like to start off by apologising for not getting to this level sooner! You sent me an f4f request a while back and the darned level got lost in the bag of Q!

This level was awesome! I would defenitly recomend this to anyone that plays lbp! It truly brought me back to the good ol days of lbp1! The gameplay was inovative and original but not to hard (WHICH I LOVE) I easly got through this level with my friend we both really enjoyed it! I would of liked it if you turned the music volume up a bit because i could hardly hear it, also it would have been nice to add some objects, stickers, and decorations because i didnt really see many of them. Overall this was a fantastic platformer and i really truly enjoyed it, it got a heart and a yay from me for sure (i also hearted you as an author :3)!

gameplay: 9/10
music: 8/10 (maybe find an original song you liked there are many creators that give music for free! Although i like the music anyways)
style/art: 7/10
overall score: 8/10 very good job!

Great level.
Awesome level which remembered me how much fun I had to master the sometimes very tricky levels of LBP1.
While playing it, I decided to start playing the whole storymode of LBP1 again next weekend

Very good gameplay, nice moderate gameplay, very atmospheric.
Great job

I'm not sure if I played your level before or not but I am certainly interested in playing another storymode based level! Consider it Queued!

How strange! I've had the same feelings of wanting to go back to LBP1 and playing/creating there! I feel that I lack some of the essential skills that you can only learn from LBP1!
