Corrupted Save file?

Archive: 4 posts

Whenever I do something different in LBP and shut off my game, it is fine. When I turn on my PS3, it says my save file is corrupted and it resets my PS3. I play LBP and all of my progress is gone from my last play! Not only that, but the music in my pod skips and freezes alot. My game sometimes crashes aswell. How do I fix this?2009-01-26 18:03:00

There currently is a bug with the profiles when they are near their limit of space. It causes bad loading, connection problems and can make you look your progress.

The only thing you can do is the clean your profile and then keep it clean. To help reduce the size of your profile you can do the following (and should do all of the following):

-Get rid of the community objects
-Get rid of the community pictures
-Get rid of your own saved objects. Put them in prize bubbles inside a level if you really don't want to erase them.
-Get rid of your pictures (same tips as above if you want to keep them)
-Get rid of the useless levels on your moon. Publish them locked is you still want to store them.

Keeping your profile clean will prevent the save bug and connection problems to happen. Always back up your save file in case the bug happens regardless.

Finally, the music glitch are probably coming from somewhere else. Might be your PS3 or check if your LBP disk is perfectly clean.

If you can copy your save file onto a remote storage medium like a USB key or memory card, then you can send it to MM for them to have a look at. They might be able to find out what's happening and fix it for you.

Details about this are in this post (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=7697).
