[SOLVED] Randomizer Issues

Archive: 5 posts

Okay, so recently as I've been working on High Oc-Train 2, I've set two goals in mind for this newer and more improved version.
One was to make it crisper and add some new features, and two was to make the emitter logic simpler (As the original logic was very complex and tended to make the trains form a repeating pattern). So my problem is as follows.

I need to use a randomizer to choose which layer and direction the trains will be coming from, however no matter what I do, my randomizer has a tendency to choose the same emitter twice, resulting in no train emitting. So, my question is, how do I make a randomizer not be able to choose the same train twice in a row?

EDIT: Never mind, I just found the solution right after I posted this :3

Please edit the thread title and add [SOLVED] so fellow members can come straight here for results.

Also, how was this issue solved? This would be great feedback for others to learn how, just in case they also come across this issue.

Well, I tried a few ways, but the way I found worked best and the simplest was simply choosing the "Add and Reset" option on the Randomizer, and soon I'm going to apply a special counter system so that one lane can't have two trains running on it at once.2013-07-06 17:10:00

form what you described wouldn't it be easy to add a tag sensor with same layer option chosen and inverted so if the train is present it can't emit? cause you said you wanted less logic?2013-08-18 22:01:00
