An Annoying Problem - Regarding DLC

Archive: 4 posts

This weekend I had an issue with my PS3 profile. After a bit of googling around, the best way to fix my issue seemed to be deleting my profile, creating a new profile with the same name, and linking it back in to my PSN account. I took a back up of all my saves, and backed up my LBP2 profile.

Ok, so I booted up the game today, imported my profile successfully.... BUT I don't seem to have the DLC! I have the objects (ie attracto gel), but I can't use them! How can this be? Isn't the DLC downloaded to your gamedata (which wasn't lost during my profile transfer)?

Other than re-downloading it, is there any other way to retrieve the DLC?

What kinda issue could possibly require you to delete your profile?
DLC is tied to the account that downloaded it. If you have that account saved on your PS3, you can use the DLC on any account on your PS3. If you delete that account, any DLC tied to that account is deleted too. So sadly you must redownload it all.

Some issue with syncing trophies, kept getting an error. That was the fix suggested on the official playstation support website. I didn't delete any gamedata, and transferred my LBP2 profile over, so I thought it would've kept it? Where else would the DLC go??

TBH, I'm only bothered about the move pack for the sticker material and the instruments, and also the Muppets pack for the attracto features.

For some reason I had it in my head that the DLCs would be more than 1GB in total size, when the actual total was less than 500kb! This was definitely much less of a problem than I thought it would be.

Hmmm... one game I haven't booted up again after my problems is Skyrim! I hope this doesn't have the same issue! Though I think LBP gamedata works differently to other games, so hopefully it'll be ok. I'm running low on space atm, and would hate to have to d/l all the Skyrim DLC again!
