Don't think anybody made a topic about this here yet... Starmade... (Or as I like to call it. Starcraft) is a science fiction minecraft inspired spaceship adventure game. *mew I could go on and on about it. But it’s best if you check it out yourself. And no, the game is not a minecraft mod. I’ll tell you guys about the first adventure me and my good buddy Aynah had on this game. It all started with my friend Ayneh told me to check out a game called star made couple days ago. After a short bit. I gone and looked it up on youtube. At first I thought it was just a minecraft mod. But my friend told me it wasn’t. after a short while later I downloaded the game and after some awkwardness . I manage to get the game running. I picked the name Dr.Eggman. After a lot more awkwardness Aynah managed to make a server for us to play on. Aynah had played the game solo for a couple days. But I was and still kinda am a total newb on it. *mew Once we got started. Ayneh started telling me how to build my ship. So I started off by trying to make a small DeathEgg of course. I was having trouble figuring how to get my weapon system working (This was just the start of a big problem that kept happening later) Aynah checked out my ship and got it fairly working… But then comes the fun part... He then decides to test out my Mini-DeathEgg eye beams on the nearby space-station… Perfectly harmless right? Well seems the space police didn’t think so!! They came out of nowhere in mini war cop ships guns a blazing. My friend Aynah had jumped back into his own ship by that point. I jumped into mine but surprise! They were now after me! Guess they can’t tell the difference between who the pilot is of a ship. Hohhoo~ http://i.imgur.com/RVIe85p.jpg Well then I run for my little eggy life as I did not know how to use my cannons yet myself. And it wasn’t a battle ready ship anyways. I was still working on it after all. Aynah had ran away too. But only after trying to get them police dudes off of me first… http://i.imgur.com/6NEhvN0.jpg But it was all little to late. I did get away from them after like 10 mins… Goodness my ship was slow… but after I could rest. I saw that my small DeathEgg was half destroyed! …I had spent like 2+ hours on that thing when building it. Hohoo… My buddy managed to find me again by luck. I was already trying to repair my ship once he got there. http://i.imgur.com/OrCjnPq.jpg After a while we fixed my ship. But I still could not get the cannons to work! After another couple hours I still could not find what was wrong… ends up it was just the game being really buggy on me… :I Afterwards we looked for and made our way to a planet. Took us a while to get to it too… We had some small goofy adventures along the way. Once we got to the planet. We found it was a ice planet. My friend landed no problem. But like a real man! I landed my ship face first crashing into the ground!… Ah goodtimes~ http://i.imgur.com/jqvINf7.jpg At one point I told my friend we should try to see if we could turn the planet itself into a ship~ He liked my idea and tried it. Ayneh then renamed the planet “Planet Tugboat” … But It didn’t work btw. Hohoohooho~ http://i.imgur.com/JRM15CS.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Zy3KHrj.jpg Afterwards he by mistake knocked my ship into orbit… Which was kinda my own fault in a small way since I unhooked his tugboat ship from the the planet. ...Which started another goofy mini adventure to get my ship back… Lets just say at one point I somehow got myself stuck in the center of a planet and had to dug my way out which then lead me falling into space!. xD …I did make it back to my small DeathEgg later btw. And that ended Dr.Eggman and Aynah’s first space adventure together. Yoohoho~ --- Anyways. It looks to be a pretty fun game. Though it is quite buggy right now and is awkward to control. But I think it has a pretty good future ahead of it. *mew PS: Thanks Ayneh for a lot of the pics here. heh.

Serious this isn't a Minecraft mod? I might pick it up later. Space is the only thing missing in MC in my opinion.

Oh huh, I saw this a few days ago on a chan I visit. Looks interesting, but the planetoids are probably a bit too small for me.

Oh yeah, forgot few things to say. *mew This game is free atm. The game is still in alpha stage. Meaning the game still has LONG way to go. And The game is being made by only two guys atm.

Yeah, test firing weapons when looking at a station is a really bad idea. You can see just how badly Sozo's ship was damaged by the police. They randomly came back an hour later and just outright destroyed my ship. It was fun though. One of the cool features is being able to save your spaceship and spawn them or ships other players have made. You can make a fleet pretty easily using this, or assign them to police/pirate AI to use. I imported a few Atlas Frigates (http://star-made.org/node/1408) made by TheImperialDonut because they looked so cool. http://i.imgur.com/lTNZQMI.jpg Someone made an Imperial Star Destroyer with a docking bay big enough for one of these, so you can definitely make some really huge stuff with multiple decks and artificial gravity and things.

I have to say this is a great game! Space exploration is epic and with friends is chaotically fun!
