Big Apple Battle!

Archive: 15 posts

Hello everyone, I'd like to present my first LBPK level for your consideration. Before I go any further I want to say a HUGE thank you to OnePoppa who provided an invaluable crash course in advanced editor tricks and helped me out on numerous occasions, particulally with regards to squeezing as much out of the thermometer as possible. This was a crazily ambitious project to do right off the bat and without his expertise and patience I'd have never gotten it to that point, so thank you!

Onto the track, or the battle, more like. This takes place within New York City's Central Park and the surrounding areas. It's a 7 minute battle and there are 28 prize bubbles containing a variety of custom props that you will find hidden throughout the level. I also used a couple of buildings by SergioChileno from his 'SackCity' intro level, and a couple more by OnePoppa, but by and large everything else within was made by myself. In total this level consists of roughly 150 hours of work, although if I were to remake it all from scratch with the knowledge and experience i've garnered from this education in creationism it would probably be possible to do it in about 50-60.

So without further ado, please play, rate and review Big Apple Battle! by atheistsw.

Thank You

This level impressed me because of the excellent work done by Atheistsw, especially with the excellent work done with foliage. Atheistsw uses the 2D foliage elements to create an amazing three dimensional environment. This is a skill of the author that we know, a skill that made his creations in Modnation Racer were the best and most awarded. Even with limited 2D props Atheistsw can build an entire city surrounded by buildings and forestry. Great job Atheistsw, we hope to have more creations from you. 2013-06-25 23:39:00

Wow, this must have been so much work! The Level looks great and when I played it I really got the feeling that I'm driving around Central Park (although I've never been there^^) All the details were amazing and there was so much to see (and I really liked the busses )2013-07-17 14:03:00

Lol, I cannot know, but IvoYaridovich had the same problem the other day, 20 seconds in the level with me and he'd found it... try joining me one day and i'll take you on a tour of the prizes and help you find it
