New Horizons

"Each new hour holds new chances for new beginnings. The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change"
(LTJ Bukem / Horizons - 1995)

Notorious Productions, in association with The Ghost Creators, are proud to present

New Horizons.

This is my third, and quite possibly last gallery. New Horizons was born out of a great love and fascination on all things space related.
I really wanted to try and get across the wonders of space. To, as close as is possible in LBP, let the viewer experience what it would be like to actually be up there, To fly through the atmosphere of a gas giant, view planets orbiting around their stars and witness the light of a star breaking over the horizon of an alien world.

I've wanted to make a proper space level for years now. I have had loads of ideas but, never came up with anything that i was happy with, until now!
New Horizons is my ode to space, I hope you all like it, and that it inspires you to look up every once in a while...

There once was a man from Texas
who had a major pain in the lumbar plexus.
When he saw this here thread
he fell on his head!
Lying like a towel on a beach
the mouse button just within reach
He was able to add this one to his queue
and now to the emergency room he must go to.

This was an incredible visual journey. And what's even more amazing is the medium used to create it. It's evident the phrase, "it can't be done", is not a part of your vocabulary. It allows you to see beyond the barriers of the mind that tend to chain man to a pointless existence. Boundless and limitless, much like the celestial bodies you created, your mind soars to the place where imagination and dreams collide, and inspiration gives life to a single thought. You, my friend, are very special indeed. "New Horizons" is powerful imagery. BRAVO, Sir! 2013-06-17 01:56:00

This is an excellent piece of cinema art. You could have this in some sort of multimedia art exhibition continuously looping and it wouldn't look out of place. I personally enjoyed this one more than Sunsets. Sunsets was also very good but Horizons at times had me stopping to think how you have achieved what you have. Never at anytime did I become aware the layers.

An amazing creation you have here Spacemonkey. Be proud.

I played this the other day, maybe yesterday. I went on autogaze and could not look away from the Tv. It really was incredibly talented. I played the Mm pick one you made, never knew there was a third. Time to search the missing level 2013-06-29 02:41:00

I think the post above mine, meant “WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW and WOWSER!” The only problem I have with SpaceMonkey’s levels are that the leave my jaw on the floor and before you know it I’ve swallowed enough bugs to choke a Lizard. Just a fantastic experience my friend.2013-07-01 21:12:00
